Fook: Sabyen91: walnuts55: I hate to open my self up like this. But is this just a gay thing or do women do this too?
I guess I have been in small town to long.

I believe it is almost exclusively hetero and women participate. But I could be wrong...saw it on CSI.

From the population Ive encountered id say the gay quotient is way above that of the general population. So much so that the straight ones sometimes feel the need to make their orientation pretty clear.

Thanks. Darnit, CSI lied to me. I was hoping to find hot bunny-women open to casual sex. Ah, well, I have been disappointed before.

These guys don't bother me nearly as much as plushies. I'm grateful those losers still hide at home and just commune via website for now. I don't think my brain could handle a plushie convention, even in the burgh.

Ringshadow: theorellior: Paging Ringshadow to the thread... paging Ringshadow to the thread...

Present and accounted for. But I'm painting a dancing anthro lemur so I'm really not up to this debate right now.

And by the way, I find "Yiff in Hell, Furfags" to be hilarious, really. Where would you prefer us to yiff, in Heaven? That'd lead to some interesting rain.

And a few points to try to cut some off at the pass...
Furries are not always zoos or plushies
...are not always gay
...are not always fursuiters (vast minority here!)

Yes, we have our token dumbasses, but come on. 95% of us keep to ourselves. What could we possibly do to you, donate to Tiger Sanctuary in your stead? Offer you a hug?

/mostly harmless
//returning to painting now

Eh, you guys can do what you want and I do believe you are harmless. Still pissed you ruined the Brewers' season :)

I just looked "plushies" up. They have a stuffed animal fetish??? Weird, really weird. Jeez, I am thinking of teddy bears with sticky insides...

Is there a safe website where can learn more about furries? There are some words being used in this thread that I'm not familiar with, because I grew up in a small rural town a long, long time ago.

/I don't want to turn into my mother (who is something of a Herbert), so I want to be "down" with what the kids today are into. "Down" is the correct lingo, yes? Right on and far out, you crazy kids!

"Appropriate". I'm bisexual enough to not utterly rule farking around with another guy completely off the table... but I like girls, and it would DQ me from regular blood donation. And as the statement was implicitly meant as advice, giving the most general phrasing seemed apropos.

JSieverts: these people are TOTAL FARKING FREAKY KINKY ASSHATS who are giving us normal farking freaky asshats a bad name....

DRESSING UP LIKE A TEDDY BEAR TO FARK SOMEONE ELSE DRESSED AS A BUNNY RABBIT IS NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NORMAL

It is hilarious every year seeing the local pundits treat this sexcon as though it is cute and amusing

You cannot define normal or weird, but there are guidlines.

If it lands you in the ER at the hospital and the staff are hailing other medical professionals to confer with them regarding your condition with the words "Oy! Naill, Becka, Ian! Come over here! You need to see this...you'll not farking believe it!!" or similar...then it is a good chance it is weird.

If there are voltages or techniques involved which require the purchase of a Tesla coil...it is most likely weird.

If it uses methods and tools long abandoned as inhumane and risky by those training bulls elephants or lions....it might be weird.

If, before you begin you need to consult a legal expert regarding the local regulations on animal husbandry, air quality standards, hazards to navigation/aviation or the exact legal meanings of the terms "cannibalism", "defenestration" or "mentally incapacitated" then it might be weird.

If the leather kit you are wearing at the end of the night was still attached to a cow in your party at the beginning of the night...there is a good chance that night qualified as weird.

Again, there are no hard fast definitions, only guidelines really

OK, seeing a pride flag behind an anthropomorphic fox makes me ANGRY.

GET YOUR OWN FLAG, FURRIES.

Maybe there are some furries who are into same-sex yiffing or whatever, but mostly, they're people who want to have sex with a raccoon while they're dressed as a badger or whatever their animal is.

I don't care what furries do, but they shouldn't be using the gay pride flag. It is not their flag. The gay pride flag is for gay people, lesbians, bisexuals, transgendered or interesexed people, queer people, and two-spirited people to use if they choose to, and I'm even happy to see questioning people use it, along with allies and friends. There's a whole queer or queer-supporting rainbow I'm happy to see using the flag and being proud. It rightly represents diversity, but that is diversity among people who are attracted to the same, HUMAN, sex.

Furries, do your thing, do not steal symbols that represent someone else. The pride flag has been the gay pride flag for 30 years. Make your own flag!

Gay men, straight women, gay women...pretty much anyone you can imagine. I know because I r also furry. Check out my Livejournal at Lots42. Yes, 42, I lost my password for my Fark Lots42 account.

I recommend the 'Sabrina Online' comic strip for furry beginners.

Yeah! Goddamn furries. How dare they have a sexual fetish not recognized by mainstream society! Why, their attraction to catgirls and wolfboys is just as sick and disgusting as those guys who like other guys!
