It would be the correct answer if they hadn't taken it off the menu in favor of the mediocre-at-best Prime Rib Thickburger. Hence, the Jalapeno Thickburger reins supreme.

The town I live in had a Hardee's when I was just a wee one(the '90s).

That shait was disgusting.

/got closed down when I was a about 7 for various health code violations.
//It became a Curves when I was 12. HA!

Where exactly is the Hardee's / Carl's Jr. line? It seems to run North-South from somewhere around Billings, Montana.

What? I saw Carlin's death on the front page when there were only 26 comments, so it was on the front page quick.

Hardees makes a better burger than any real fastfood joint. Not including White Castle, Jack in the Box, WhataBurger, In-n-Out. The latter aren't really fast food, they are American Icons. But, yeah, Hardees...mmmmmm.

/FriscoBurger ftw kinda

I remember when a Hardees opened in Muscat in Oman. There wasn't a fast food place in the country before that, it tasted so good !

Pork Tenderloins. Used to have really good ones. Not sure if they are menu items any more. A shame, because it was the only thing I would order from them.

Very few Hardee's still serve it, but their fried chicken is the best I've ever had.

Cass Elliot waiting at heavens gate(or hell's gate) to sing "♫ Hurry on down to Hardies, where the burgers are charcoal broiled ♫".

/goml - I remember those commercials.

I may be weird but I like their fried chicken. There used to be Hardee's Where I lived (that and Roy Rodgers) but sadly they are no longer there. Everytime I travel down 95 I always stop at Hardee's because they were a childhood staple.

Hardee's has stepped up their game in a huge way in the last few years since Carl's Jr. got into the picture. Their burgers are by far the best fast food burgers available at any of the major chains--it's not even close.

It used to be that you'd never consider going in there after breakfast hours, but if I'm up for a stout burger and I'm within a few miles of a Hardee's, that's where I'm headed.

/Jalapeno Thickburger FTW!

PATS0707: I live in Massachusetts where Hardee's is a myth.

You're lucky then. You don't have to put up with the idiotic commercials Hardee's run. The sad thing is that there are a lot of people who relate to the commercials; basically stating they're meatheads and play into the stereotypes of men being knuckle-dragging and immature.

codasco704: Very few Hardee's still serve it, but their fried chicken is the best I've ever had.

I wondered if they still served chicken. All of the stores in the NC,SC,GA area stopped serving it.

I have to say....sometimes KFC just didn't cut it.

2008-06-24 08:55:16 AM
Just returned from vacationing in Florida and had the unfortunate experience of eating at Hardee's for the first time. Truly dreadful. Order was mixed up. After 15 minute wait, sat down to eat a burger that was actually worse than anything I could have gotten at McDonald's. Didn't think it was possible.

Carl's Jr's and Hardees are the same for whoever asked that.

So are Checkers and Rallies

Crystals and White Castle

There are a few more that I can't seem to remember atm. I'm sure I'll get corrected if I am wrong.
