This story sounds a bit fishy. Maybe they need to put a "private walleye" on the case.

Cormee,

Please, can you tell us just how "priceless" this wall is? Does anyone really care?

Plane ticket to Ireland: $500
10 pints of Guinness: $30
2 bottles of Bushmill's: $20

Stealing a chunk of the Liffey wall: Priceless.

Is there nothing of value in Ireland that thieves have to resort to stealing rocks? I thought the U.S. was in bad shape.

i think its genious.

i can only imagine that the people who stole this were piss drunk, and decided "Hey, why dont we go steal a part of the wall?" and they just went out and start taking pieces.

gosh when people get drunk around here allthey take is signs.

The wall is now a floor in Limerick.

i like this logic....
Mr Brick described the stolen granite as "priceless" and difficult to replace or replicate.

Mr Brick added that fortunately a section of wall at Blackhall Place - where a bridge is being built - will help to replace the lost stone.

If you could steal any wall in the world what wall would it be? - I'd pinch the wall surrounding the white house so any nutter could get in.

Totally off subject, but this reminds me of a joke. Stop me if you've heard this(ha-ha). An Irish guy was in a pub drowning his sorrows. The pub owner asked him what was his trouble. He said he just didn't understand people. He's built houses. Do people call him a house builder? No. He's built fine chimneys. Do people call him a mason? No. He's built beautiful stone walls. Do they call him a wall builder? No, but you fark ONE lousy sheep.......

Sorry! Couldn't resist!! Squinth :)

Mr Happy:

I'd pinch the wall surrounding the white house so any nutter could get in.

Any nutter can already get in. Evidence: George W. Bush.

IcuQQ: Pardon? Did you say you wanted a limerick?
OK, here goes.

There once was a young man named Paul,
who stole a large section of wall.
When asked why 'twas done,
he said, "Just for fun,
but now the thing's stuck in my hall!"

Malinois:
yeh its a pretty unique wall it runs about 6 or 7 miles both sides of the liffey through the city centre and is made of big mo'fo'blocks that would be hard to replace...I cant imagine there being a big market for them tho
lol Uh2k - good point but you see its the same wall that passes blackhall place and theyre building a bridge there so there will be some spare bricks...
*sigh* ............ooooh this song rocks!!! Agent Sumo - '24 Hours'
