I can't wait to watch horribly-compressed, pixelated full-featured films at 425x344 resolution, personally.

Why just youtube? They should put it in theaters.
Can't be any worse than most the schlock they come out with.

I'd pay to see a 2-hour version of Mentos vs Diet Coke. Gotta be better than Predator vs Aliens XV.

I've definitely seen videos on YouTube that were well beyond the ten minute mark for some time now. There aren't many of them, but every time I see one it sticks out in my mind. Anyone know what that's about? Also, they weren't from YouTube's "content partners" or any obviously corporate source.

Youtube has it's role. I always go to the "date added" filter, there's always someone throwing porn up there.

FARK TV 2 hour format?

Between podcasts and Youtube, I spend maybe $8/mo on TV shows (History Channel and Family Guy). There are tons of awesome little documentaries and crazy little independent films if you go looking around on Youtube. For example, just search on the terms "weird film" or "documentary" and you'll be entertained for hours. An AppleTV makes this all the more doable and fun.

Really, cause I can't wait for it to consume about one fifth of my future cable providers metered monthly limit.

Yay. now we can have 1 hour, 59 minutes and 50 seconds of boring, self-congratulatory title cards for ten seconds of mediocre footage.

With AWESOME music in the background.

YouTube:
We need better content. HD and full length will work for now.

Software developers:
We need better control of what we're watching. A "save video" feature, to a variety of file formats, and a means of skipping ads.

Harrison Ford gets a football in the groin. While he is passed out,, he sees a dog on a skateboard. He does some research and discovers there was a Temple of the Wheeled Dog. Who ever finds the Temple of the Wheeled Dog will get to do a reimagining of "Hanover Street". At the same time, L.A. Down discovers the secret and the race is on.

The climax is a three way skateboarding race between Down, Ford and a Golden Bulldog on a skateboard. (Lots of CGI (at least for Down and Ford))

Hot dang! Speilberg will let me sleep in his Pool Cabana Boy's Guestroom Annex for this.

Google Video has had full-length vids since they started.

glenlivid: Google

And not only that, I'm pretty sure they don't even have a size limit unlike the 1 gig that Youtube is going to limit this too.

Google video also has a far superior video player. Youtube does have better community options and playlist support, though.

That dog lives in the same town as me. I hope to meet him one day, as I cannot ride a skateboard, and maybe he can teach me.

The feature will be cut short if I find out where that dog rolls. My SUV may have some words for him.

/i farking hate that dog
//might be jealousy

No, RLY.

/I don't have a website. Or a skateboard. Or a dog. Or a YouTube video.

While I'm here, can anyone tell me why the youtube player sucks so much ballz?

For instance, many times the progress bar won't load all the way, and when playback catches up it "ends" the video with it's little black thumbnail screen. It won't finish loading the rest of the video or let me watch the video past that point. I have to re-load the entire page.

Clicking a spot in the progress bar doesn't always take me to that spot.

The video loads faster when I am moving the cursor in the video window (WTF?!?) and the playback is even jumpy sometimes when the cursor is not moving.

I think there are more, but I can't remember them.

Oh, that skateboarding bulldog is farking hilarious!!!!

Google video.

Pro:
Better quality.
No 10 minute limit (I don't know if there is one)
Con:
Can't set icon keyframe image.
