it's just funny that when we have an average than hotter day the global warming alarmists are all up in arms, but when it snows when it's not suppose to they just shrug their shoulders.

imagine if global cooling was the trendy thing to talk about right now and it snowed.....in june. there'd be a field day on that for weeks.

Yeah, I'm looking out at some global warming falling here, too. I guess living at almost 7000 feet may have something to do with it.

That's about the same altitude as South Fork, CO. I was there about three weeks ago. My balls are still up there somewhere.

Actually I believe the correct explanation for this is that the majority of people are farking functionally retarded including those on every side of every issue; case in point: you.

Climate change really isn't even that hard to understand. When a shiat ton of ice is melting up north of us (I'm in Seattle) due to the overall raise in temperature it farks up our weather down here ... oh fark it. There is a reason these threads turn into nothing but hyperbole and insults; its just not worth the effort.

Yeah, I know. It's just that people that say that kind of crap are either completely uninformed, or want industry to be able to act irresponsibly in the name of profit (hence the willful ignorance comment). Whatever.

Average global warming as a result of the greenhouse effect, the various effects of which manifest themselves as regional climate change. Ta-da!

So simple, even a caveman could understand it.

Fixed.

Wrong, sorry but this is just a case of your being wrong.

Go GIS Little Ice Age. See? The World is still rebounding from a recent ice age. A glacier takes hundreds of years to melt, so you are still looking at the effects of the ice age that ended during the Madison Administration.

BTW: the American Statistical Association looked at AG's carbon driven model. It FAILS a goodness of fit test. You get a better predicion with a random number generator.

Indeed. And the best part that the lack of global climate change can be blamed on global climate change. How's that for an airtight argument?

George Bush and Karl Rove are using their weather machine to pay back certain parts of the country.

For example Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois are both full of liberals. So we can see here that it is not just a coincidence that we are getting our levies blown up just like in New Orleans (also full of liberals).

Case closed thank you very much.

when the next great volcanic eruption shoots ash into the sky and causes global cooling like in the early 1800s we will all have to fire up our suvs to stay warm

There is actually a concern now about the lack of sun spots currently on the sun. This could be a signal of extreme cooling on the horizon.

Wow, you would think if some moron on fark figured this out maybe some of the thousands of scientists looking into would have stumbled upon this first. Maybe you could find a research paper that backs up your farking theory but I'm sure that kind of research isn't as fun as being a willfully obtuse, contrarian asshole.

BTW: the American Statistical Association looked at AG's carbon driven model. It FAILS a goodness of fit test. You get a better predicion with a random number generator.

You're wrong on 2 levels here: First, there is more than one farking model and second, the much bigger point, ACC data is not just model driven and in fact most of the evidence has nothing to do with modeling.

I am just old enough to remember the previous 2 Global Weather Hoaxes, and the beginning of the AIDS hoax. Falling for stupid lies is a young man's game.

1972 to 1981: Global Ice Age Panic!!! Only higher taxes and a massive expansion of Government can save us!!!

about 1978 to 1984: Acid Rain Panic!!! Only higher taxes and a massive expansion of Government can save us!!!

1981 to present: Global Warming Panic!!! Only higher taxes and a massive expansion of Government can save us!!!

(and while I'm here; 1983 to about 2000: AIDS Panic!!! 30% to 40% of Africa and Asia has HIV. -but after 25 years of such a high infection rate, their population hasn't dropped -Oops! Sorry for all the lies! We only lie to you when we're fund raising... )

1982 to about 2002:

"We came up with the idea"

"In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up
with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming,
water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill ...
All these dangers are caused by human intervention
and it is only through changed attitudes and
behaviour that they can be overcome.
The real enemy, then, is humanity itself."

Warm air holds more moister and when it gets to elevation it makes this white stuff called snow. It never snows any measurable amounts the Antarctic winter, but in the Antarctic summer it does snow some.

Morans who don't understand this need to visit the Olympic rain forest.

Are there any politically liberal people who think that global warming is a farce? It seems like the vast majority of scientists believe it is real. And the the people who say it isn't are related to the Republican party and/or involved corporations, yet they hold the minority of scientist views.

Just like in "Supersize Me", there were a small percentage of dieticians that said McDonalds was good for you. I don't think we can rely on the minority perspective.
