Pretty good stuff. And I saw it almost a year ago, so that means I'm better than all you people that just saw it.

My Internet fame just increased by three points.

It is pretty funny, but they DO realize that it is a year old as per the line: "Dubbed "Swear Jar," the too-risque-for-TV ad debuted on the Internet in 2007"

2008-06-09 10:59:56 AM
my father forwarded this to me last year. he's in his 60's.

I hope that's some barometer on how out of touch some of you are.

I read that as sweat jar and though they were making fun of the way their own beer tastes

Also, this is the Seattle Times that's behind the curve. The article is from the AP. So don't go Romeroing the Times, subby! ;-)

add me to the list of people who hadn't seen this yet, I LOLed.

Boy, I'm so "out of touch" for avoiding advertising. Remind me to tear down my Myth TV box and uninstall the Ad and Flash blockers from my web browser.

I'm still waiting for the day Rick discovers he's turned into an internet cliché. The earth will be swallowed by the enormous paradox of hell that opens shortly afterwords.

I'm out of touch because I haven't seen a Coors Light ad. K.

I had to take a walk from my desk 'til my giggles subsided.

This got me:
"Oh poop."
"Doesn't count!"
"Shut the &^%%!@!"

How did I miss this completely? I feel left out!

Bah! I didn't RTFA instead just followed dougbert's link.
Now I see that the article quoted the same thang I did and now I feel dirty.

A dirty, dirty boy.

Dirty.

First time I've seen it.

That's funny as f*ck, you a**f*cking c*cks*ckers.

2008-06-09 11:58:36 AM
i'm not going to RTFA, but wasn't a swear jar one of the plot points in Tootsie?

(pops like i would all over Jessica Lange)

2008-06-09 11:59:39 AM
Did it end with "its f&^&!@ing close to water"?

Man in his 60s spends hours in front of a computer in his spare time. Man in his 20s spends hours doing the stuff I can still do (like have sex) because, hey, I have other things to do. Only reason I'm here now is because I'm at work.

Out of touch? More like touch my nuts with your face.

Here's a site (new window) with rejected ads from all over the world, print and video. There could be something NSFW there, I haven't looked at every one. Interesting stuff.

2008-06-09 12:34:09 PM
Does no one here watch the Super Bowl? The ad was on TV exactly as it is online.

/proud of you cork suckers

The Seattle Times is so behind it's not funny. Blame it on their shared printing agreement with Hearst owned Post Intelligencer. (Another misnomer; no intelligence there!) I seriously think the ST cruises the net looking for newsworthy items to publish on slow news days. Ever read the paper? I did. I am from Washington State and they are just news whores. If they are picking articles from the AP....seems they need better reporters or ANY reporters. Sonics are gone, Mariners suck, the Governor is a brainless idiot....what else is there to report on?
