Mark Price was awesome on NBA Jam on the Genesis ... I forget who his teammate was, but I remember he could shoot a J pretty well.

The Lakers will go back to L.A., down two games, and still trying to decide if Bryant's crappy shooting is due to his bad form, or the Celtic's defense.

You have action tonight? I had Celts under 97 1/2 and lost last game. Tonight I have Celts even on the money line.

Yes I know, I got the South Park reference...but it reminded me of NBA JAM for some reason.

Series goes back to L.A tied 1-1. Kobe goes for 36, Pierce has 19 and is slowed. Garnett will score 24, Rondo will score 11. Gasol will score 22 and Odom 19. Doc Rivers will perspire. Phil Jackson will whistle and spray spit on the floor when he does so causing Ray Allen to slip and chip a tooth. Referee Joey Crawford will not officiate but will nearly die on the way home from a bar when he is accidentally impaled on a stuffed swordfish that flies off a car's luggage rack.

2008-06-08 09:01:23 PM
Start tha damned game already.

2008-06-08 09:04:12 PM
Nice, already a hand full of comments, "Don't like the NBA/basketball/either team". It's been noted, ok thanks bye.

Doc quoting Tony Dungy in the locker room? That's....not good.

Come on now, let's be realistic...no way Odom will score 19.

The half court line bis bigger tonight.

mdfitzsimmons: Doc quoting Tony Dungy in the locker room? That's....not good.

Dude, Doc gave this speech after Pierce went down, "What did the guy from South Africa say about divers...adversity?? He said overcome it!"

They won. I think the Celts can overcome Doc talk.

2008-06-08 09:09:53 PM
Kobe cant shoot very well again.

2008-06-08 09:12:03 PM
I hate it that Boston always has a bunch of turnovers in the first quarter, every game.

2008-06-08 09:12:28 PM
Kobe will dribble around and hog the ball Boston wins.

Is that really on the court or is it like the first down line in football? It looks imposed to me.

Most likely imposed by the NBA

Oh god, how long is Pierce going to milk this?

They are calling a lot of fouls away from the ball tonight.

2008-06-08 09:28:04 PM
wow what a shiatty call

2008-06-08 09:28:34 PM
That was a chinzy call against Bryant. Looks like it's gonna be bad officiating tonight.

2008-06-08 09:31:13 PM
Does Doc Rivers have any words of wisdom that he didn't poach from other people?

2008-06-08 09:32:51 PM
No. He is a terrible c oach.

2008-06-08 09:35:19 PM
These refs are killing me, last game it was great... can't have that again, can we?

"No. He is a terrible coach."

I'm for the Celtics, but everyone forgets that before this year, Doc's teams were losing games left and right, and Danny Ainge was really not doing anything to improve the team. Both were probably one more season away from being fired/resigning.

Now, with the Garnett/Allen moves, Danny wins exec of the year, and Doc is given a free pass. They both got lucky.

2008-06-08 09:43:55 PM
Turiaf just blocked it clean.

Doc got lucky. Ainge did a great job orchestrating the deals for Allen and Garnett. He was pissing me off in previous seasons with his hocus-pocus, matching personality types rebuilding.

F*cking Pierce!!! Time for the crowd to get LOUD! The Garden used to be feared; let's make it that way again!

Flavivirus: Turiaf just blocked it clean.

The call was that he basically landed on Powe afterwards

Pierce! Ya taiiiii!

I just want to know how Doc has a Coach of the Year award for the 2000 season in which his team missed the playoffs going 41-41.

Everything's a goddamned foul tonight?

In the NBA, that's called a clean block.

I just want to point out that I like Jeff Van Gundy as an analyst. He's borderline ridiculous but at least he has the balls to stand up for what he believes is right without bowing down to the NBA.

2008-06-08 09:51:04 PM
Even when the calls go the Lakers way, these refs are pissing me off.

2008-06-08 09:51:34 PM
Hmmm... I wonder who David Stern wants to win.

2008-06-08 09:52:26 PM
Some early calls were sketchy but Kobe looked like he just lost the ball on that one.

2008-06-08 09:53:10 PM
I LOVE POWE!!!

2008-06-08 09:53:49 PM
Is it just me or do the Celtics celebrate every made basket like they've won game 7 at the buzzer beater?

2008-06-08 09:53:59 PM
This game is all but over now.
