After reading the blurb accompanying the pictures, I think Submitter was trying to poke fun at it.

Agreed. I don't think many people actually read the captions before commenting.

Sheesh, guys. RTFA before snarking.

For some headlines it needed more than two years of education to be made.

"Agreed. I don't think many people actually read the captions before commenting."

Very few. Or per the article, was very few.

I too, was going to blast subby for the headline. My apologies for my Olympic class premature conclusion jumping. After RTFA, it's obvious. The photo's are really kind of cool, until you get to the last one, and realize that all of the sculptures are from one guy. Then they're kind of sad.

I got that headline after I looked at the pics and read the captions. Nice. Hey baby, how's it being today?

That guy looks like another 40 year old virgin.

If only there were a website where people could proudly proclaim DNRTFA or the thread

Whois says the web site is based in Serbia, in case you're wondering about the syntax and stuff in the headline.

Jeez subby can you a be more tormented for a quoting the a article?

Was the Mona Lisa or the Statues of A Liberty a really sculpture? Or was they just a vector diagrams?

/Works better when you read it as a Mario.

It's-a me, Mario! I tell-a you about all the nice-a sculptures with the match-a-sticks, ya?

TFA: Nice sculptures made with toothpicks. Those which you are going to see on pictures are made by Steven Backman. For some of those sculptures really needed some time. For the example, for this wooden boat it was needed about 6000 toothpicks, but for the beautiful, amazing, cool, remarkable golden gate bridge it was used 30000 toothpicks and took more then a two years for construction. But it was worth of it, don't you think so? There are also a few more cool and interesting sculptures.

I made the mistake of doing a GIS for "Italian Man" to get an appropriate image of subby. I was aiming for a Father Guido Sarducci-Mario hybrid. "It takes more than-a two years." has a stereotypically Italian-American accent to me. What I got on my GIS wasn't a bunch of hairy, naked guys, though. I could have handled that. I'm not sure about the posting rules, so I'm not going to describe the image I found.

Holy shiat. What freakin country is the writer from (The article, not the headline). Must have used babblefish to translate from his original language (farkani) to engrish. Jeez.

When i was a kid, I saw some matchstick sculptures my uncle had made.

later realized he had made them while doing a stretch in jail.

So.. I guess it's a good way to kill time, if you have no outside social life.

Except Russian has no letter "W," so "wessels" is impossible.

Someone should tell this guy about lumberyards - they do make wood in larger pieces than toothpicks.

I built a 3 foot tall empire state building out of matches and hot glue for a project in some stupid art class. I would have gotten a B (cause it looked like shiat), but then we lit it on fire, and the whole thing erupted in flame. Scored me an A after that.

This guy was on the Opie and Anthony show last year. He's a real tool. Opie tried to steal his portfolio of toothpick art, but Master Po stepped in and kept the dude from kicking Opie's ass. It was great radio. I think that was the show where they dropped mustard out their window on an asian guy. Good times, good times.

So are we revisiting the glory that was the "Seahawks fan cooks burger for Steelers fan spits in it, ends up charging missing most of the burger and loses anyway" thread again? Because I am SO there!
