Any coincidence that "Drank" rhymes with Dank?

FTA:Apparently it is "very, very popular in Houston," and it's sold throughout the south in liquor and convenience stores.

They are thinking of Sizzurp which is Promethazine with cough syrup (codine), fruit flavored soda, and a jolly rancher. Although Im sure this fake stuff is popular too.

I used to drink those in the 80s(sans the jolly rancher) and with vodka. I used to call them Cuba Blah-bres. Little did I know as me and my Kajagoogoo hair went slopping off into a stupor I was making some psychic connection to Houston Hip-hop. It's amazing I didn't slip into a coma. I know better now, but dear god I was a freaking idiot.

brap: I used to call them Cuba Blah-bres.

If you offered me a drink with a name like that I would take it, no matter what the ingredients. My buddies and I made them once, i agree it was fun, but not a good idea at all.

FTFA:

"From design to production, every aspect of this calming drink was inspired by today's popular hip hop artists who embrace the much sought-after hip hop lifestyle that encourages people to capture a stress-free state of mind."

I think that should read as "..that encourages "gansta wanna bes" to be lazy bastards." but perhaps that's just me

I'm loving the idea of cruising down the highway chugging these things, what could possibly go..*thunk*zzzzzzz.

Would be more popular if it was red.

I could see this selling well in France, Mexico, or a variety of other countries where its not really normal to work hard or arrive in a timely fashion.

2008-06-04 04:50:23 PM
What if I use it to make coffee? Explosion or implosion?

2008-06-04 04:50:26 PM
Someone actually made and is marketing something called Grape Drank? Is Dave Chappelle suing?

No I dont. I get my stupid drug references from rap groups on the radio so I still call it Sizzurp. And that was the worst song I have ever heard.

It's from "Buy U A Drank," surely.

And melatonin has a very short half-life, but supresses libido. That'll be lots of fun in clubs. Hey, all the guys are actually playing pool for once!

the fact that something is popular in houston is usually perfect reason to NOT want to do it...

Yeah, that's what I need. Something that'll make me more exhausted.

If I need to slow everything down, I could just eat a bunch of barbeque.

X wears off after about 3-4 hours, not 1-2 days. But actually, I'm willing to bet part of what you say has some merit. I bet this stuff WILL be mixed with stuff to see what kind of trips it brings about.
