Don't trust why'd he?

That doesn't make sense, Steve Martin.

2008-06-02 05:22:10 AM
Apparently she didn't say "Don't Trust Whitey" at all.

She said "Why'd he(Fill in the blank with an George W. action)

Which proves that one should never use contractions when speaking to the public.

I'll say the same thing I said in one of the Obama church threads: Oh for fark's sake.

slackist: What is it with the US hang-up on race? Her hubby is as much white as he isn't ffs.

You know, that's a question on a LOT of Americans mind. Obama was pretty dead on the money in his Philadelphia speech. There are woulds both old and new that are still raw. He's trying to do his best bridge the gap.

He's being undercut by his own people and his opposition who are looking for any emotional angle.

You have to understand that Civil Rights only took hold in the sixties...and there are people who are old enough to remember the "Old days" And there are many young people who believe that they are the "Good Old Days.

So, at worst, this doesn't even qualify as a Kanye West moment.

Gotcha.

On a related note, if Obama is elected, Daily Kos will officially change it's name to Daily K.O.A (Kiss Obama's Arse)

Why am I not surprised?

Well you know, the wives of U.S. Senators aren't normally in the habit of running around screaming about whitey.

Try telling that to the dumbasses who will buy this nonsense hook, line and sinker, though.

It will seem completely plausible to them.

the power of suggestion good old psyops from Larry Johnson and crew.

tell people before you release it what you want them to hear when they listen
do this for an extended period of time before releasing it so the suggestion is implanted deeply.

this is simply someone trying to play people for fools.

Why'd he cut folks off medicaid?
Why'd he let New Orleans drown?
Why'd he do nothing about Jena?
Why'd he put us in Iraq for no reason?

this is what she's saying. Not Whitey.

2008-06-02 07:22:12 AM
Whitey cut Medicare, whitey put us in Iraq for no reason, whitey do nothing about Katrina.

Sounds perfectly reasonable to me. That's the kind of stuff whitey does.

It's clear the conservatives are trying to make their not voting for a black man more palatable to them. Remember: it's not racism if the other side is racist, right?

Anything to make it taste better.

Unless their is proof she is saying whitey and not why'd he, I'm going to have to give her the benefit of the doubt. A comment from the link explains it pretty clearly:

According to Boonman Tribune blog source, Here is what is said in the video

From what I understand, it is a tape of Michelle Obama criticizing the Bush administration.

How you'd write it:

Why did Bush cut folks off medicaid?
Why did Bush let New Orleans drown?
Why did Bush do nothing about Jena?
Why did Bush put us in Iraq for no reason?

How you'd say it:

Why'd he cut folks off medicaid?
Why'd he let New Orleans drown?
Why'd he do nothing about Jena?
Why'd he put us in Iraq for no reason?

How Larry Johnson (Clinton supporter) and GOP wants you to hear it:

Whitie cut folks off medicaid?
Whitie let New Orleans drown?
Whitie do nothing about Jena?
Whitie put us in Iraq for no reason?

A wife of a US senator is not likely to be ranting about whitey, but is likely to be criticizing Bush. If those are actual lines from the video, Larry Johnson and those who parroted this crap are utter scumbags.

why does whitey have to do something about Jenna?

Cartman: How would you like to suck my balls?

The desperation becomes more unrealistic and grotesque the more it takes control.

There is nothing left, they can't talk about the strong points of the candidates so they fabricate things to talk about their opponent.

The game is over, the country has moved past the strategies that won in 2000 and 2004 and now will soundly rebuke this ugliness with such vengeance that the 2006 elections will someday be seen as a victory by the Republican Party.

In 2008, America will overwhelmingly stand up and step on this ugliness.
This is Karl Rove's last chance to show his skills and he has shown us too much as it is.

Bye bye Karl, you will someday be analyzed as a curious and ugly footnote in history, ranked somewhere under Goebbels in accomplishment.

What a marvelous legacy for you and your followers to revel in.

Why'd he cut Medicare...

WTF? The dumbass Bush and Congress added a giant bloated prescription drug entitlement well before Katrina. Brokered by none other than Ted Kennedy. And it still wasn't enough?

2008-06-02 07:47:05 AM
Wow. She's not an idiot, she would never say "whitie" in any kind of speech when she is in the political limelight, and more than likely wouldn't ever say it at all. Also, being an educated woman, she would not use such bad grammar... look at the sentences...

Grammatically correct:

Why'd he cut folks off medicaid?
Why'd he let New Orleans drown?
Why'd he do nothing about Jena?
Why'd he put us in Iraq for no reason?

Grammatically incorrect:

Whitie cut folks off medicaid?

Sounds like the reason nobody's heard the actual "evidence" is because someone wants to build rumors that she actually says "whitey." If she actually had or had said it clearly, this video would already be all over the 24/7 news, not just the rumors of maybe a possible video somewhere. I say a video will come out where she does indeed say "why'd he" and when pressed, Stone or whoever will say this wasn't the video he was talking about, there's another one, we'll see it in a few days, and the matter will end.

It would be more correct to say "Why did Bush put us in Iraq?" or "Bush put us in Iraq for no reason.". Putting the two together is nonsensical.

Asking for a reason, then stating that there isn't one makes no sense. For example, using the contraction...

Why'd he put us in Iraq?

is fine.

This a million times over.

On a side note, the neighbors across the street, who are your classic section 8 hoodrats, have decided that the neighborhood is out to get them. These are people that let 2 year olds play in the street (the 2 year old has been hit by a car before btw), let their kids roam the neighborhood vandalizing properties, have screaming arguments out front about which of their friends shot-up which house the night before. One of the residents there is currently out on parole for armed bank robbery. Very lovely people. The other day the cops were paying them a visit, and I happened to be outside, and one of the cops came over to ask if I'd seen anything suspicious. Which I hadn't for that particular day, and let him know so. To which he laughed and said, "OK, well, see you next week when we're over here again."

Well a few nights ago, I heard arguing and fighting from across the street, so I went outside to observe the circus. after about 5 minutes, the grandmother that lives in the house came on out and started to yell at the kids who were arguing to STFU because "white peoples are out and watching and is going to be callin' the cops."

/East Nashville is ..... Interesting

The right wing and the Clinton supporters have blown their load, and it's not even the damn end of the primary. McCain will have nothing but the rehashed stuff that's already blown over to bring up in the general. I hope they feel as stupid as they are. This is the kind of video you release the week before election day, hoping it will stick before being refuted.

Really? How so?

You believe that a man who bugged his own office and then called in the media to scream that his opponents had done this is worthy of praise?

Even better, Karl Rove isn't a political analyst, he is a dirty tricks engineer - and I don't believe that any honest human being would try to pass him off as anything else.

Now, as an example of what I think is a dumb thing to say, I give you this...
