Just once I wish that this guy could, you know, act like a farking president.

Is that too much to ask?

/hurrrrrr

I'm looking forward to having a president who acts like an adult

I'm sorry, but military dress attire looks ghey. Not saying anything at all about the service members, but can't our military provide something less ghey?

I dunno, are we psotive that Bush isn't about to deliver a Mongolian chop?

That's the Academy's garb, not of the Air Force itself. Note the cadet "rank" on the epaulets.

2008-05-28 05:08:07 PM
But he did nothing to make the cadets remember they are no better than anybody else in the Air Force. AFA grads have a habit of forgetting that.

Yay, he's human. Enjoy the last few months, Beebo.

That poor cadet. I feel bad for the students who had to listen to that crap, and are legally prohibited from protesting or speaking ill of that piece of human garbage.

Headline two down is better:

"In his commencement address to the Air Force Academy, President Bush says the US is "learning as we go" in Iraq. At five years and counting, we better get to call ourselves Dr. America after this"

2008-05-28 05:25:47 PM
FTA: "As far as your grades, some things are beyond even the powers of the president."

But not future two-term VP/one-term presidents, am I right Georgie Boy?

Hey if you just graduated one of the most mentally and physically difficult schools in the country, damn it if you want a chest bump from the President then by God you get one. This is something that cadet will talk fondly of his entire life. Given what that young man will be giving up for his country (min 5 years max his life) I think it's kinda cool that the President did that.

FTA: "Now in the 21st century," he said, "our nation is once again facing evil men who despise freedom and despise America and aim to subject millions to their violent rule.

Ya know you sorry sack of shiat, you can say the moon is made of cheese a million times, it still won't make it Gouda.

2008-05-28 05:52:44 PM
So this had to be planned, right? How else would the President know it was coming? Also, I think the SS would be all over this guy if they didn't already know.

I think it's cool for the cadet, but bad for the rest of us.

What is false about that statement? We are facing evil men who despise freedom and America, and if they had their way, would subject millions to their violent rule.

I understand you hate Bush, but there's nothing factually incorrect about that statement.

Not so, and beside the point - that pic isn't exactly flattering. I sincerely hope that any action shots of me don't look that idiotic, although I guess it's possible.

I agree it is a bad shot. Makes you wonder. With the shutter speed of amateur cameras there would be 5-12 pictures of this chest bump. Then add in all the cameras at the events and this is the one they pick? There must have been at least more then a dozen AP photographers there and they pick this one?

I bet the cadet's mom took a better pick and it's already on the way to the framers.

/have nightmares about what would happen if someone followed me around twenty four seven with a tape recorder and a camera.

Given that it has been Bush's continuous lying and deception that has led us into this stupid war in Iraq, I would have guessed he at least would be a little more respectful and a little less drunken dudebro when addressing a graduating service academy, most of whom will likely soon be seeing time over there on his behalf.

There have been other presidential asshats throughout our history, but Dubya is top dog on that list.

So are both of our statements fully factually correct.

They may hate us and our freedoms, but that doesn't mean they have the ability to destroy us, as Bush and his supporters would have us believe.

I mean, look at McCain claiming that Obama is naive for saying that Iran isn't as much a threat to the US as the USSR was at the height of the Cold War. Really, Sen. McCain? Iran is as much a threat as a nation that had hundreds or thousands of nuclear ICBMs pointed at us?
