He was driving a Toyota Supra, the last version of which was very close to a street legal race car, it was farking awesome.

Waste of a perfectly good car, at least the one I totaled was a piece of shiat.

tampajake: I first met Nick and the Hulk in clearwater when he was 7 years old. I worked at the Ice Rink called Sunblades in Clearwater.

I sold all the hockey equipment to Nick AND gave him his first ice skating lessons.

The little kid was an annoying crybaby farking brat back then and as soon as I heard about this I told my dad that I knew something like this would happen to him.

On the flip side, his sister, was a short chubby little tween back in the day. My oh my how she has turned out. Da da da FARK...

But are you getting a kick out of our replies?

seminole87 Okay among the heterosexual males here, who the fark DIDN'T race their car when they were young?

I had a 1970 mustang that was hopelessly ordinary. Stock motor, generally in need of maintenance. That said, the car would go about 115 mph if aimed in a straight line with the pedal on the mat for long enough.

Only ever tested it a couple times, and then only on deserted desert roads with nobody else around.

Even at 18-20 years old, I thought racing was incredibly dangerous, pointless, and stupid.

/seen a few bad wipeouts in my day, and ALL were because one or both drivers had their heads up their asses at the time.

lozak: Dynascape: seen that picture over and over

A couple years ago there was a Legends of Wrestling convention of some sort, and there was a panel about how the internet has created a lot of "smart" fans , and how difficult it was for wrestling to be portrayed as real anymore.

Anyway, at one point during the panel, this guy in the audience gets up and starts delivering a way too emotional personal testimony of how important wrestling is to him. Eventually he starts crying and utters the famous line, "it's still real to me."

And at that point even the wrestlers on the panel looked like they'd be more comfortable having penis reattachment surgery than having to spend another minute in the room with this guy.

Thanks..

I always figured he was a televangelist apologizing for diddling someone.

Wish Youtube wasnt blocked at work.. grr.

Suicidal Writer: perryjo:

I'd agree that the parents are at fault. They knew of his issues, but I don't think they saw it as a psychiatric issue.;

Psychiatric is a bad word in this case. I think he could use a swift kick in the ass from the law and get some counseling. That doesn't mean he's all farked up in the head. He could use a bit of straightening out and clearing some shiat up in his head. He probably could use an ass kicking though. He probably thought he was invincible when he was driving the way he was. An ass kicking is a great way to get rid of that "I'm superman" complex.

Of course I am. Having known him personally, you guys are pretty much all right on the money.

Only thing I can say thats good, is Terry gave TONS of money to our youth hockey organization. He actually paid for my team when we got nationals in Sarnia Ontario.

Such a shame this had to happen.

Your joking right it says Lamborghini on the car and its burnt up. His car was a supra and did not get burnt.

As for the speed 110 is a little too fast.

2008-05-12 03:44:12 PM
If you watched MTV, you would have seen that his parents encouraged him to race (although on a track, drifting). I always thought that it was a little weird that he couldn't even drive on the street, yet they allowed him to get behind the wheel of a high powered car to race it. I would have thought they would have tried a different type of off road racing first???
Being 16 - 17 years old, he probably could not distinguish between the track and the street, and made an extremely bad decision to race. But once again, this wasn't his first time. He has been pulled several times before, but let off because he is the Hulkster's crotchfruit.

lemme see:

1) poor-ish family, didn't get first car until age 17: a shiat-brown '76 plymouth fury that was barely able to get to school and back.
2) i was one of four black kids in a very, very rich white suburb--I got pulled over for OWB fairly regularly and didn't feel compelled to give douchebag cops an actual reason to bother me.
3) dad worked at the county juvie hall and DID NOT under any circumstances want to meet him at work.

Oh, very clever. Imply that any male who had more common sense than horsepower as a teenager must have been a homosexual.

I didn't have a car for most of my high school / college years, and when I did it was a secondhand Geo Prizm hatchback. I wasn't stupid enough to think I could win a race with that heap, and I was paying high enough insurance premiums as it was without taking on any additional risk.

seminole87: Okay among the heterosexual males here, who the fark DIDN'T race their car when they were young?

Fortunately, I was stuck with an '86 Cavalier which could barely get up to 80. Nowadays, even a Camry comes with 268hp. This is a level of power pretty much unavailable in a plain jane car since before the smog controls and OPEC oil embargo ruined the muscle car.

Still, a Supra is pretty powerful car before you mod it. If Hogan had 1000 hp, then that's pretty irresponsible on his parents part. 1000hp is too much power for me (32), and way way way too much for a 17 year old.

Absolutely no reason to get preferential treatment.

Actually, no one should even have to worry about getting beat or raped in prison. If the government desires to take control of individuals then the government should protect them. I wish there were more safety controls in prisons, especially considering that many of the prisoners are only druggies. If there is one thing I would rather avoid, it is someone who comes out of prison with a high tolerance for abuse and an anger at society.

But I'm one of those in the minority, as many people believe that being beaten in prison should be part of the punishment.

I think we should run our prisons like japan. No eye contact with guards. Standing at tables until they are full and everyone sits down at once. Certain tie of day for masturbation. Strict order, work, and safe.

Okay I recognize that many of you were teens during a period in which all the used cars in the U.S. were stinking pieces of crap.

Not your fault you had to drive that shiat.

I got to drive my brother's truck over the weekend, and that thing has probably 3x the power of my current truck.

I went to get on the highway and added power as if I was driving my truck. Pretty much floored it. oopsie...

That truck let out a NASCAR-worthy roar, dropped one gear, and pretty much sank me back in the seat as it launched, SCARING THE CRAP OUT OF ME. I felt the steering get real squishy as the back end tried to pass the front. I gently let off the gas, gently held the wheel steady, and got back under it.

Holy cats.

I'd almost lost control of the beast.

/You should always "goose test" an unfamiliar car in a safe area before trying it on the open road. Wowza.

I have no sympathy for a spoiled rich kid who thinks money will buy them out of any trouble they can get in.

If I were the Judge, I'd have given him the option of a 4 year enlistment in the USMC instead of jail. If he completed the hitch honorably then the fifth year of probation could be waived.
