kevinatilusa: Speaking as an Obama supporter:

If Sen. Clinton drops out in the next few days (or effectively does so by drastically reducing her campaign), I hope to see a bit less gloating and a lot more class here than has been showing up in the political threads in the last few weeks.

One can hope.

I expect she's hitting every avenue for the VP nod right now. Bill getting sexy-time with interns would be nearly as emotionally devastating to her as the possibility that not only will she lose, but Obama could pick another woman (Sebelius) to make history with him.

Democrats are so sexist.

/weak since this in Hillary we are talking about.

Class? In my Fark? It's less likely that you think.

Seriously, this site is a nonpartisan, vaguely libertarian version of Little Green Footballs. We don't do class here.

MSNBC's Russert: 'We Now Know Who the Nominee Will Be'

Wow. Just wow. I'm happy but I feel kind of shell-shocked. Could this really be true?

A shame too. I just got accepted to their super-special posting clique today. They're quite suspicious of newbies.

Quite a lot of troll potential there, you know.

They just called Indiana on MSNBC.

2008-05-07 01:11:29 AM
So she's going to bow out at tomorrow night's fundraiser?

2008-05-07 01:11:30 AM
MSNBC just declared her the winner with about 20k votes.

2008-05-07 01:11:33 AM
Watching CNN?

Mayor of Gary, Indiana and Mayor of Hammond, Indiana are arguing.

Seems that Gary is taking far too long to "count" the votes...Hammond is flat out saying that it looks like 'Hanky Panky' is happening in the Gary area.

2008-05-07 01:11:55 AM
Oh please, oh please ... come on, Indiana. Hammer that stake all the way in. Make me even more proud of you guys.

They said earlier on CNN that she is hinting to have the vice-presidency job that she thought Obama would be so good at.

2008-05-07 01:12:49 AM
Clinton 637,389
Obama 615,370

How many republicans do you think padded Clinton's numbers?

I had to repeat that. I love to hear it.

Any normal, sane person would call it quits after tonight two months ago. that's a given. But we're talking about The Hillary. And The Hillary plays by different rules.

IFTFY.

I am wondering if she is just cancelling them so she can let the hoopla about Obama's win in NC and 50/50 split in Indiana die down. Then she'll come back. Its not in her character to bow out gracefully.

2008-05-07 01:14:05 AM
Shrugging Atlas: MSNBC just declared her the winner with about 20k votes.

Yeah, and she won 2 more delegates than Obama, It's over.

netweavr, that excludes uncounted absentee ballots. Like, from the colleges.

Oh well. Doesn't matter much at this point anyway. Her campaign's light just flickered out.

no, i think she is pretty much done at this point... her primary night email didn't ask for any more money -- that says it all.

she's going to posture and put pressure on the Party to count FL and MI, but not even that matters at this point.

it's all over but the crying.

kevinatilusa: If Sen. Clinton drops out in the next few days (or effectively does so by drastically reducing her campaign), I hope to see a bit less gloating and a lot more class here than has been showing up in the political threads in the last few weeks.

You know, its not gloating. Its the sudden emotional release of a bunch of people that were terrified that the usual lies and manipulation of the main stream media would triumph, because not enough people are savvy to it yet.

And now they are elated to find out that it doesn't work anymore. This recent few months is proof. This is going to empower more politicians to do what Obama has done and be genuine...in fact it will become the only way to win. The pandoras box is open.

Not to mention, this is bigger than Obama and politics, this is the end of an era. The main stream media is finished. The one way stream of distorted hatred and fear is being choked to death by the internet. It will become more of a joke until it is basically as hilarious to everyone as dancing cigarette packs.

/white wine and velveeta cheese shells...strangely tasty combination!

Obama is +13 for the night.
Clinton was +12 with Penn.

May 6th erases Clinton's gains from Pennsylvania. She is not going to win the popular vote, and she will not win the nomination without resorting to shenanigans. It's over.

Simple question:
Why do people hate Hillary so much?

Randomly: Seems that Gary is taking far too long to "count" the votes...Hammond is flat out saying that it looks like 'Hanky Panky' is happening in the Gary area.

hammond can kiss his ass goodbye. gary, IN is basically part of the greater chicagoland area. late polls and dead voters on the rolls are just how we roll.

it can't really be hanky panky if it's standard operating procedure...and before you complain, the last time chicago boosted someone to the white house it was JFK. that worked out pretty well.

/hillary's got limbaugh; obama's got da mayor

kilgorn: Sen. Hillary Clinton will narrowly win the Indiana Democratic primary, CNN projects.

She will now need 68% of all remaining delegates to win the nomination, correct?

Fat chance.

Go away, Hillary. It's not too late to unite the DNC to make sure we don't have GWB 2.0 elected (McCain).

That will happen if Obama loses in November. I'm going to hate her even more then. I can see her having a press conference right after McCain has his victory speech.

Clinton wins Indiana, Obama wins North Carolina and the wheels keep going round and round and round

Sounds like the wheels came off to me.

2008-05-07 01:18:09 AM
Why do people hate Hillary so much?

Because she's worse than Bush! She's a self-centered biatch who would kill anyone to get in the White House and have her little power trip. Fark her.

Darn. I wanted to hear her discuss her resounding 2% win in Indiana (while glossing over her inconsequential 14% loss in North Carolina) on morning television tomorrow.
