For the record, 25000 British pounds does not equal 50,000 dollars unless you're traveling between the two countries. Women in Britian who request that men make 25,000 pounds is the same as women in the US who request men make 25,000 dollars because British goods cost more than American goods. Their housing, food and bills are twice as "expensive" as ours.

While I certainly agree that beauty is only skin-deep, I have found the addendum "... but ugly goes straight to the bone" to also be unerringly true. I figure it has quite a bit to do with people generally being more friendly and kind towards beautiful people (and avoiding eye contact with the ugly ones).

Sadly though, what you often see with beautiful women is that they become "ugly" in their 30's (both inside and out) when suddenly everyone they meet isn't awed by their stunning physical features anymore. This is, of course, why we see a lot of worn-down 40 year-old women who are incredibly critical of the younger beauties. They're essentially bitterly envious and jealous.

I'd also put forth that the average-looking women generally get the best out of life. There is always someone that'll be kind to them at any age, and they avoid the screwed up perception of life the beautiful->ugly crowd undergoes.
