Did she smelt iron in her youth? Mine coal? Yeah, being First Lady of a state, of the country, and a US senator for most of your adult life is such a tough gig.

2008-04-29 05:29:52 PM
So tough you get tired at 10 am and "misspeak"?

2008-04-29 05:33:10 PM
Ehhh, at least she wasn't playing the vagina card. I hate it when she does that.

2008-04-29 05:33:46 PM
Don't ask her to make cookies, either, unless she's in the kitchen, because she can take the heat, as long as it isn't coming from the kitchen.... oh no....

LIAR PARADOX!

Talkin' 'bout, sniper retreat
All she ducked: Sinbad's glances
Went to Belfast, now she's serving a treat
Just a Dem and her will to connive

So many times, it happens too fast
You pimp your daughter for glory
You lose your grip on the facts of the past
You must fight just to keep them contrived

Chorus:
It's the eye of the Liar, it's the fault of the Right
Risin' up to the challenge of Obama
And the last known survivor answers phones in the night
And she's watchin' us all in the eye of the Liar

Face to face, she's getting beat
Barack wins, drank her milkshake
She wants to live on Pennsylvania Street
For she kills with the skill to contrive

It's the eye of the Liar, it's the fault of the Right
Risin' up to the challenge of Obama
And the last known survivor answers phones in the night
And she's watchin' us all in the eye of the Liar

Not her fault, NAFTA's a flop
Change the facts, change her story
Saw The Youtube, now she's not gonna stop
Just a Dem and her will to contrive

It's the eye of the Liar, it's the fault of the Right
Risin' up to the challenge of Obama
And the last known survivor answers phones in the night
And she's watchin' us all in the eye of the Liar

I say to you today, my friends, so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a vagina. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American vagina.

I have a vagina that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal."

I have a vagina that one day on the red hills of Georgia the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.

I have a vagina that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.

I have a vagina that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

I have a vagina today.

I know you say this jokingly, but whenever I read this line, that phrase "the difficulties of today and tomorrow", I get chills.

Best speech in the history of the United States. Not my personal favorite, but the best.

The media letting the Clinton lies slide is the biggest story of this campaign. Just like their "reporting" on the Swiftboating was the biggest story of the last one.

How in the HELL is a Wellesley-then-Yale educated, white, lawyer for WALMART, who together with her husband made $100M in 8 years somehow the Champion of the Poor?

How in the HELL does a woman involved in Whitewater, Travelgate, Vince Foster, cattle futures, the Lewinsky scandal and assorted other lying, who ALL republicans, most independents and a not-insignificant number of Democrats LOATHED going in, have the nerve to say Obama is unelectable?

How in the HELL does a woman who was for strict gun control and a NAFTA cheerleader argue that she is for those small-town voters?

It's a real shame that because of ratings, the media didn't have the nerve to laugh Hillary out of the campaign after Super Tuesday, as her campaign has been one bad joke since.

2008-04-29 09:11:19 PM
I didn't know that being tough meant shedding tears over losing a primary but not losing any over Katrina victims or dead Iraq war vets and their loved ones. You learn something new every day.

And tomorrow, on an extra special episode of the Rodham Diaries, the Senator breaks down and sobs her way through a harrowing tale of her abusive family life...

/ she'd win doing that
// you know she would
/// then she'd extract vicious, vicious revenge on her enemies list so extensive that Nixon, even if he'd had an SQL database, couldn't have matched.

Maybe this is directed at the zombie voters who might try to eat her on the campaign trail.

Given some of the comments I've read on Fark - it would surprise me if the woman hadn't been shot at at least once in her life.

Rev. Wright may just sink Obama's campaign - Its a good thing we have her. I am surprised at how the pro-Obama tone has changed just since last week.

If only we could put the candidates into carbon freeze to keep them from saying anything stupid until November.

Rovian:

Rev. Wright may just sink Obama's campaign

Not likely. Just as it did last time, Wright's whackaloonery will fade away in a week and then Obama will sweep through the rest of the primaries. He'll win a few, lose a few, but at the end of the day Hillary will have lost the election part of the Dem nomination process. Also, thanks to her multiple endorsements of McCain over Obama, race baiting (yeah, it was her that started all of the identity politics BS), and similar antics, she's quite likely to lose the backroom deals part of the nomination process as well.

Murk

The GOP is going to be playing Rev ads continuously and rip Barrack a new O if he is the nominee. In between now and the convention we will have to see how he handles it. I think it will look like Penn, and there is no way to know how those states that voted would react now post-Wright.

Endorsements of Mccain is little more than centrist politics, the Hillary camp will continue to make the argument that elitist liberals lost the last 2 presidential elections, factor into this the burgeoning demographic of the 40 and over crowd, and her performance in swing battleground states, and Clinton has a strong case for wresting the nomination by vying for superdelegates - don't hate the player, hate the game. This is in the best interest of fielding a candidate.

I am reminded that the meat of bulls and boars become tough because they haven't been castrated. Is she saying she should have been neutered in her youth?

Rovian: the Hillary camp will continue to make the argument that elitist liberals lost the last 2 presidential elections

You mean despite the fact that they were both running the same "Vote for me, I'm Republican lite! fark the liberals! To hell with the Progressives!" campaign that Clinton has been running (and as a result foregoing the humiliating loss in the General by getting it out of the way in the primary)?

Good luck with that.

and her performance in swing battleground states,

Battleground states will change depending on who you run. If you run the same sort of Democrat that you ran in 2000 and 2004 you'll get (and lose) the same swing states that you did in both election cycles. Obama provides a new avenue to victory that doesn't require winning the traditional "must-win" states of the past 2 elections.

As someone who has been sniped, I have to give Hillary a pass.

Seriously, I had the high bid on Ebay, and some idiot placed a slightly higher bid at the last second. If that doesn't prepare a person to be Commander-in-Chief, nothing does.

Obama provides a new avenue to victory

That still hasn't been demonstrated, and if we are to take it on Penn and the race that remains, possibly doesn't exist. What is this road to victory? 18-34 year old college educated whites, 90% of blacks, and a much smaller portion of the bigger 40+/female/and spanish blocks, 27% of white catholics, who would sooner vote mccain. This very easily can be seen as not a road to victory once the ads start running.

If you were capable of making it past 4 words of my post without chopping it in half and acting as if that were my sole response, you might be able to figure out why your response makes absolutely no sense. Maybe.

/that tactic doesn't work quite as well in a thread where both responses are within three posts of each other

Rovian: You sound just like your namesake in that facepalm-inducing CNN link posted earlier. What a coincidence!

Whether things look tough for Obama now or not, it would still be a FAR greater challenge for Hillary to win in November. There's a reason every conservative in the country is openly pulling for her to win this nomination, and it ain't admiration.

The problem with the last too candidates is they were slightly more engaging than watching an hour hand. Rational arguments can only get you to 50%. It takes an extra spark to make it to 51%.
