What is up with submitters and their ignorance of the animal kingdom today?

There are pretty big differences between snakes and legless lizards. Legless lizards have eyelids, external ear holes, and no forked tongues. They will also sometimes have vestigial limbs.

Don't make David Attenborough come to your house and break his foot off in your ass. Cause he's gained the power of animals in his many travels, and can regenerate limbs. So he can break his foot off in your ass over and over again. You don't want that.

A thread about South American lizards and theres no Tegu pics? For Shame.

2008-04-29 04:37:34 PM
Lol, they may have found a new one, but I got a legless lizard (eastern glass lizard, which is native to the U.S.) around 16 yrs ago as a pet. Cool critter.

And no, they're not like snakes. They're physiologically just like a lizard other than the legs, plus they act more like a lizard than a snake.

I personally got that he was joking about the snake thing, but I had to laugh at the "scientists find legless lizard" as if they didn't know about legless lizards before. :p
