This is why alcohol is so important to our society, without it we would be unable to bond over the silly things alcoholics do!

22 caliber revolver loaded with buckshot

It's called snakeshot. I guess he was sober enough to figure he had a better chnce to hit a bee with it.

FTFA:

According to police 57-year-old David Walls had been drinking when he tried to shoot down some bees flying above him using a .22 caliber revolver loaded with buckshot. Walls ended up shooting himself in the left hand causing soft tissue damage.

That must have stung.

...when he tried to shoot down some bees flying above him using a .22 caliber revolver loaded with buckshot.

Well, "shot", not "buckshot". I'm pretty sure .22LR shot shells are ineffective against deer.

Apparently plinking bees with these is fairly common, in the past month I've heard of two different people doing this (minus the self-inflicted gunshot wound).

Gotta admit. If I could have a power out of Bioshock, shooting bees outta my hands would have been high up on my list.

Just imagine what fun you could have in a crowded area.

FTFA: own some bees flying above him using a .22 caliber revolver loaded with buckshot. Walls ended up shooting himself in the left hand causing soft tissue damage

No, I may not be an expert on guns... But since when do they make .22 caliber buckshot? And since when do the make revolvers that use shells with buckshot in them?
And how'd he shoot himself in the hand?

You have to be a special kind of dumbarse to put your hand in FRONT of the gun.

You've got to go full auto when you're bee hunting.

Takes a hell of a lot of them to make even a scarf.

I know CCI makes them. It seems to be commonly available for some reason (two store in my area).
