Any paint-huffers out their care to explain why gold paint seems to be so desirable for huffing purposes?

Not a paint-huffer, but have you ever uncapped one of those gold paint markers? The carrier they use could knock you on your ass at fifty paces.

TFA:Man denies huffing, caught with gold paint on face

A Crestview Police Department officer called to a local RV park had no trouble locating the man suspected of huffing paint, according to an arrest report. In surveying the park, the officer noticed a man sitting in a lawn chair outside of a residence. He asked if the man had been huffing paint and the man said no.

However, when the officer approached and shined his flashlight toward the man, he noticed what appeared to be "fresh, gold-colored paint clinging to his nose and cheeks." The officer also noticed paint in the man's facial hair.

Under the man's chair, the officer located a can of spray paint.
The man continued to deny that he was huffing paint, but the officer placed him under arrest.

The man's wife of 25 years told the officer that the 45-year-old man had been "huffing paint for 1 ½ years" and that he's managed to hide it.

Read related story: Husband kicked out of camper for 'huffing' (not a rickroll)

She added that she was unable to stop him because "he thinks there's nothing wrong with it."

The man was charged with inhalation of a harmful chemical substance, a misdemeanor.

I think it has something to do with the chemicals in the gold/silver paint, the ones that make it specifically gold/silver. I don't know for sure, but I think someone said it on fark before and I was all "oooooooh!". I always wondered myself. Anyone please feel free to correct me and call me a dumbass.

I'm of two minds about this:

1. "Oh, Japan" for the obvious play to the bukkake fans.
2. A feeling like I should know who the singer is.

It has touline in it, which produces a pretty damn nice euphoria. It is also nerotoxic though, so repeated use is going to leave you dumb enough to live in a trailer park. Someone needs to turn this guy on to ether (starter fluid), it's not really all that bad for you and just as fun and addictive.

Yeah, I don't get why this activity is against the law. It's a legal substance. Wouldn't car mechanics be guilty of inhaling a harmful chemical substance every single day at work? Or anyone that walks through a cloud of exhaust as they cross the street?

Hmm, does this law apply to smoking? Surely cigarette smoke is a harmful chemecial substance.

How hilarious. I was just trying to ship something to Crestview (no, not a case of paint) and UPS won't make a Saturday delivery anywhere in that town. Nor could I have anything delivered Early AM on Monday. I thought... what kind of a place is this?

NOW I know. Thank you, Fark!
