Jesus, Doug Feith? What a sniveling, stupid man. A perfect fit for the modern GOP and neo-con ascendency.

RabidDog: Why do americans pronounce Colin as colon?

we don't. it's KO-LIN not KO-LON, the latter because it has only one L. if it were 2 L's it would be KOL-IN.

If I could only pick one person from this entire administration to feed to wolves, only one, there is an excellent chance that my choice would end up being Douglas Feith. It would be close, mind you...Rumsfeld would have some bad moments, as would Harriet Miers and a few others, but I think Feith would end up being wolffood in the end.

I seem to recall that Powell was against the war from the get go. Yeah, this asstard is at the top of the food pile for the wolves. Nice try at rewriting history you moran.

Beg to differ... there's a columnist/author/radio personality whose name is spelled "Colin" (McEnroe), and it's pronounced "KOL-IN".

Feith, Perle, and Wolfowitz need to be tarred and feathered and whipped through the D.C. Mall.

I knew this would be Feith before I even clicked the link. He needs airdropping outside the green zone. At night. Like Bizarro Escape from New York.

So much for honor among thieves.

It disgusts me to no end that these spineless unAmerican twits continue to exist unscathed by the Iraq war, when our real heroes are dying in support of the latter's nefarious ends.

"Bush Sr. called the neocons the 'crazies in the basement' ... Brent Scowcroft for example is not a neocon, yet people call him one. Scowcroft worked hard to reign in the 'crazies in the basement,' as did Reagan."

"One of the biggest changes in politics in my lifetime is that the delusional is no longer marginal. It has come in from the fringe, to sit in the seat of power in the Oval Office and in Congress. For the first time in our history, ideology and theology hold a monopoly of power in Washington.

Theology asserts propositions that cannot be proven true; ideologues hold stoutly to a worldview despite being contradicted by what is generally accepted as reality. When ideology and theology couple, their offspring are not always bad but they are always blind. And there is the danger: voters and politicians alike, oblivious to the facts."

FTFA: Feith told the CSIS crowd that he disapproved of the "snide and shallow self-justification typical in memoirs of former officials," or what Feith cleverly called the " 'I-was-surrounded-by-idiots' school of memoir writing.

Heh, pot meet kettle. The guy is a moron.

Party Boy: Daily Show: Douglas Feith has huge balls

Along with Col. Wilkerson's warm words, Bob Woodward gave us this great little nugget in Plan of Attack when he quoted General Tommy Franks saying this about Feith:

pg. 281 FRANKS: "I have to deal with the f*&king stupidest guy on the face of the earth almost every day."

Suddenly, I like Tommy a little bit more.

This country is too distracted by the hardships of everyday life and American Idol to realize that we have been lied to by treacherous individuals in power. It is very sad. If we had citizens that paid attention and weren't so apathetic we could have actually thrown this government out when we had the chance.

FTA: Remarked Milbank wryly, "It must have been very difficult being Doug Feith: correct all the time, and surrounded by idiots."

Sounds like Feith has a narcissistic personality disorder.

/Personally, I blame the entire Bush Administration for Iraq.
//Speaking about Iraq, have we turned another corner yet?

Why? It's too fast, no spectacle, no suffering. I think a combination of slow-acting nerve toxin, VRSA, and some sort of carnivorous horde-insects would be nice.

well, colin powell is not above reproach in this matter, anyone remember a certain speech he gave to the UN complete with props and pictures of 'mobile weapons labs'.

Nestea Plunge: Feith, Perle, and Wolfowitz need to be tarred and feathered and whipped through the D.C. Mall.

Seriously. Can you come up with a list of three bigger shiatbags? And to attempt to blame it on Powell, who was one of the few decent human beings in the administration? (Along with maybe O'Neill, Whitman, ?)

Although from some casual viewing of Fox "News", the blockhead contingent of the Republican party doesn't really care if the explanation they parrot makes any sense, they just have to have an explanation to parrot. I'm guessing they'll eat this up.

Blaming Bush for the Iraq war is a lot like blaming Ronald McDonald for a bad cheeseburger, neither of them have much to do with actually running the company.

2008-04-25 02:16:20 PM
As I recall recent history, Former General Powell was against the war until he was given documents that told him exactly what he demanded to see before he'd go to war, and was told by Bush and company that it was 100% true. He, believing it to be true, then pushed for the war. After learning that it was false, made public that after the 2004 elections, he would leave his office, reguardless who won the election.

Really, of everyone who is at fault for Iraq, I really don't blame Powell, the people he trusted lied to him, he told the lie believing it to be true, and upon learning the actual truth, left. I would probably do the same thing.

As much as I love finding reasons to hate Neocons and this administration's foibles, that article was written like it came out of a high school newspaper.

Saw this asshat on 60 minutes. Complete self serving Douchebag. You'll be seeing a lot of the Neo-Con mongoloids responsible for this Iraq shiat peddling their own CYA books in the coming months as protection against any war crime charges that might come about (unlikely though).

\Bushes list of end of his term pardons will make Clinton's look like a post it note.

2008-04-25 02:16:33 PM
I blame Powell as well, he could have stood up and said "Look America, you're being lied to". But he didn't. He knew it was BS and said nothing.
