"We're trained professionals," Meyer protested, then admitted that no, they are not. lol
Professional at what? Cool pics though

Newsflash: Idiot sledder dead, family sueing Jackass.

I have never once in my life had the desire to be dragged behind a vehicle, for any reason. I'm just boring that way.

Its fun in the snow, not sure I'd do it behind a truck in the sweltering heat, though. Wait, we're still talking about midget jello wrestling right?

i remember doing something slighty more dangerous at my old high school...

we ripped out the wodden top of the school desks (the broken ones, mind you) and used them as sleds down a steep staircase. ouch.

I think the last line explains a lot - the guy drives a beer truck for a living

funny thing how idiots always seem to be associated with beer, huh?

This is a new fad? shiat, I remember doing this in highschool. I think I still have a scar on my leg from a furniture screw.....

I wonder if they're related to the guys I knew way back when. One got bored one night and tried to ski down the concrete stadium stairs. Did fairly well until he reached the entry ramp where the stairs split and he didn't make the turn. Became a paraplegic. Next idiot stunt was riding his wheelchair down some other stairs. Broke both legs along with about 10 other bones. The other ended up in a body cast by trying to "water ski" behind a truck doing about 40. He also did fairly well until he tried to slalom some parked cars. 6 month body cast.

we used to skip the sled and just grab the back of a car when it was snowy. we called it "skitching".

Note to self:

- Dragging man behind truck in Texas: BAD

- Dragging man behind truck in Washington: RECREATION

I think I've got it now.

When I was growing up in Canada we used to bumper ski to school, it was pretty sweet. Chairsleding can't hold a match to bumper skiing.

"It's our anti-drug to do stuff like that," he said.

BWAHAHAHAHA! That's the funniest thing I've read all week.

Bam Margera and the whole CKy crew (see MTV's Jackass) have been doing that stuff for years... http://www.skateboredom.com and http://www.bamargera.com/videoclips.html#

If you ever get a chance to see CKY or CKY2K, you'll see a lot more than just that.

This is hardly new. The reporter must live in a box

that's their anti-drug? sure... no drugs involved here.

No, I think these are instances of idiot sledding:

case 1
case 2
case 3

An easier way to go idiot sledding is with real sleds, in the winter. Just find a steep hill with lots of jagged bushes and broken bottles at the bottom. Mega fun!

This is completely irresponsbile of fark to post a link to this. Doesn't fark realize it has a social responsibility? What if some morong get killed because they saw it on fark? You people sicken me.

If anyone needs me I'll be carrying my lazy boy outside.

Social responsibility? I've heard of that

I was born in Everett, this place suck, thus the news story.

This winter we tied a rope to the bumper of my Alliance convertible, put the top down, put on Hawaiian shirts, and went skiing in just our shoes. It worked....

would've lasted longer if they had a chair with wheels... course probably would be a lot more painful in the event of a redlight, but no pain no gain, right?
