I don't blame them.

Seriously, wouldn't you try to if you had the cash?

No. Do not buy WaMu.

JP Morgan is trying to get them on, currently $3 less than what it is trading at.

Something stinks here, at it is JP Morgan becoming the 300lb gorilla with our tax money, buying up first one of the largest investment banks, than, trying to buy up the worlds biggest thrift...
The slimy cheating that is going on is disgusting, when will it all come out??????????????

The cynic would say that if any major player folds, then JP Morgan will fold. They have no choice but to ensure that no one folds.

Please don't buy Wamu. They are dumb enough already, but at least they don't fee me to death. A buyout would send them way over the stupid cliff.

And moving bank accounts is a pain in the butt with the bank 'secret' laws.

its my understanding that since JPM is a primairly eastern bank, and WM is huge on the west coast, they would have equal presense on the west as they do on the east if they bought WM

All I want to know is when it's safe to just stop paying on my credit cards.

I'm just surprised that it isn't Paulson's Goldman Sachs behind all this. That would be one way to be able to manage the entire market.
