Well, what are you going to do? You can't go to the cameras between every play.

2002-11-11 07:36:38 PM
Hell, The Steelers blew a 17 point lead to finish with a g.d. tie.

im here in chicago, and im a bears fan, and all i have to say is the bears deserved it.... if you're going for your friggin 7th loss in a row, a year after a playoff season, you have NOTHING to complain about....

Repeat after me:
"It's just a freaking game."

Pats still won.

Hahahahahahahahahah.

That QB for the Patriots is pretty hot.

Just another in a long line of War-time Patriot conspiracies.

Take it from me...I'm a Raiders fan.

Whenever they show a Patriots game they always bring up last years Pats/Raiders debacle. The Ref's are being forced to give these games to the Patriots. The Patriots suck. They had no business winning the Superbowl.

so what do you want from them? you want a mesaurement and a review on every play? Face it: THE BEARS LOST IT THEMSELVES. If Eddie Robinson fell down, rather than being a hero and returning it for a touchdown (which of course, he's too dumb to hold on to the ball) the game would've ended.

2002-11-11 08:50:31 PM
Da Bears.... Blow

2002-11-11 08:51:41 PM
Bears vs. Lions

Lions win by 34 points with three players on the field.

2002-11-11 08:52:09 PM
I think the lesson here is that Brady is a dirty, little farking bastard. Nice play where he pushed the Bear player off the pile and with the little spike. Flamin' arsehole.

2002-11-11 08:53:08 PM
Great...now Bears fans will morph into Raiders fans and spend the next year biatching and moaning.

2002-11-11 08:57:49 PM
Millay, nah
Our season was already a bust. The Raiders were going to the AFC Title game.

heheh.. we won!!

But at least the calls were correct. And Troutstomper, shall we go back to Dec. 18, 1976 and the phantom roughing the passer call on Ray Hamilton. The Raiders didn't deserve the Super Bowl that year. Pay back is a biatch ain't it. Fact remains that the Patriots are Super Bowl Champions and there is nothing all your sour grapes whining can do about it.

2002-11-11 09:01:55 PM
First down. Pats win. Game over.

Move along, nothing more to see here.

2002-11-11 09:02:02 PM
The fact that this story made the healines is asinine. Football ain't an exact science. Hopefully it never gets to the point where refs have to bust out protractors, atomic clocks and lasers to measure every fricken movement of the ball.

Then again it does boggle my mind when they measure the ball down to fractions of an inch. A few kinks in that chain or a few blades of grass could throw the measurements off however everyone assumes the refs are that accurate.

Chicago should not have used up all their good luck last year. Maybe they could have finished this season at the 500 mark. But they didn't and they won't.

Bear Fans should not feel bad however because Minnesota is doing their best to keep you from getting lonely at the bottom.. GO PACKERS!!!!!!

2002-11-11 09:07:50 PM
So what? That wasn't even remotely controversial.
The interception and TD were the things that the whiny Bears fans might have objected to... even though they were both ruled correctly.

I am just glad that the Bears took it like men, unlike the whiny-ass homo Raiders who are still crying about last year. You will get your next biatch slap on Sunday night, Raider fan... Heh heh.

inserting mandatory Packers plug,
rivalry, division, record, super bowl, mvp, blah, blah.

2002-11-11 09:11:41 PM
I wish the recievers for the Lions could guess where the ball was.

Go Green Bay!!!

2002-11-11 09:14:50 PM
The ball was in Christina Aguilera's mouth.

How many times have Christina, Brittney, et al looked at him and said, "I'd hit it!"

I would like to trade places with him for a couple of days...

This guy says "Bears? pffft"

The Bears were 13-3 last year... good season. But who gave them 2 of those 3 losses?

Go Pack Go!

2002-11-11 09:20:54 PM
Yeah the Lions might have the shiattest wide recieving corps in the NFL.

Okay, gentlemen, another scenario: Da Bears, they don't make it, the plane is delayed.. and the only one who shows up is Ditka. Ditka vs. Da Pats. Okay, score, gentlemen.

2002-11-11 10:07:10 PM
The Bears suck anyway, and the only reason the refs came out publicly to explain the call is because it was the right call, if they f@#&ed it up they would just pretend it never happened.Brett Favre for MVP. And by the way I am sick and tired of Mike Alstott taking William Hendersons trip to Hawai.

2002-11-11 10:08:05 PM
Troutstomper: That's just wrong. Everyone and their mother knows that the correct call was made in last years Pats-Raiders playoff game. The rule is in place and it manifested itself several other times that season, including an incredibly similar play with Kurt Warner. You Raiders fans are just babies.

thats easy..
Steve Grogan comes back with his neckbrace to lead Irving Fryar and the Pats to another victory!

the guy is dating Tara Reid for chrissake

but back on subject, they already have the systems in there to triangulate the first down line, and translation software to print on the tv screen. just put a transmitter in the ball and instantly you know exactly where it is. if you want to get tricky, you can even highlight it on screen like they did for a little while with pucks in the NHL.

2002-11-11 10:19:19 PM
You know what I really love about Raiders fans? They ignore the fact that the Raiders let the Pats score twice without a controversial call. (Which by the way was the correct call...look at the rules you pussies)

Anyhow, I agree, big props to the Chicago fans for taking the loss and going on, unlike the Raiders and Steelers fans. Although after opening day there hasn't been much coming out of Pittsburgh.

Go Pats!

I don't know what game you were watching or what you heard, but from where I sit (in Chicago), I heard "Those were good calls (damnit!)" - didn't hear any beefing about the refs at all. A lot of teeth grinding about the bad LUCK of it all (how many calls can go against you?) but the replay showed the refs were right.

2002-11-11 10:48:05 PM
Even though I'm a Bears fan I really think they deserved what they got. They've thrown away more than one huge lead like that. With a different spot on the ball, the Bears simply would have found another way to lose.

2002-11-11 10:58:21 PM
i hear you umm...Orange Carrot.... admitting you are a Bears' fan is one of the first steps towards removing the loser tag . You go girl....Go to Summit, Illinois and get a 2 dollar burrito, roaches are free as always....

GPS receivers on the ends of each football.. GPS tracking of the games. End of story of refs not being sure. Hell, it's war out there boyz!

In other news, Barry Bonds got the NL MVP.
