defiantly just learned about something like this in psychology class...

doc. death was his nickname, went around doing assisted suicide with a mechanism that sounds exactly like this one..

Oh, and outside of all sports arenas. (Especially NASCAR) I cannot stress this last one enough people.

Jack Kevorkian's setup the machine and let them push the button when they are ready method does sound very similar.

My issue with this if you're going to kill yourself why does it matter how you do it? Why does having an MD present make it better or worse?

Meh, considering Austria voted to be annexed by Germany and he annexed any location that contained Germans I think it passes. Ethnicity not nationality is what we're dealing with in my taking some artistic license.

This has the potential for an exciting debate about the ethics of assisted suicide, helping out those people who want to die but are physically unable to kill themselves.

Not going to happen of course - this is Fark. Instead, can we get a LOLCAT of a cat at the vets about to be injected saying "Assis ted Suey Sides? DO NOT WANT!"

I'm not sure I've ever understood the religious need to torture those who wish to die. It's kind of sick and twisted...

I went to a blues festival once where they tried something similar. $5 got you a double shot of Jack and a magnum with one bullet.

Why not both?

Personally I do not see any ethical dilemma regarding a person desiring to end their life in circumstances such as terminal illness etc. Nor should someone be prevented from providing that person with the most painless methods of doing so.

ever notice that the only people that have a problem with suicide are religious ones? if that is the best reason people can come up to oppose suicide or euthanasia then STFU and leave people alone. this guy is a hero.

TripleWithCheese: My issue with this if you're going to kill yourself why does it matter how you do it? Why does having an MD present make it better or worse?

my issue is if you're going to kill yourself then your organs should be harvested since you choose to not use them any more.
