This was an April Fools' hoax by the NME that Contact Music cut & pasted without fact-checking.

At least they won't need any makeup or special FX to cast her as an alien ghoul that thrives on drugs.

My first thought was how were they going to explain away a second surviving Timelord rather than the crap casting.

Incorrect. No Timelords are in Rose's dimension. The Timelords use to be able to travel across dimensions and time until the Time War closed the mechanism they used to do that. The Doctor even says this in those first two episodes where they are fighting the New Cybermen.

The TimeLords actually existed outside of time and space. This is why the Doctor cannot go back in time and save them.

Meanwhile, Amy is also reportedly turning her hand to being a fashion muse and has received an offer to be a clotheshorse for ROBETTO CAVALLI.

I expected someone to post the usual picture of a horse's face due to the term used above. I would do it, but I am at work.

Yeah, but Rose's new universe has a Torchwood which means that in that universe there was a Doctor who pissed off their Queen Victoria (or President Victoria, etc.). I sometimes think it might be that universe's version of the Eighth Doctor who would still be alive having never been zapped in the Time War aftermath.

About their being only one lot of Timelords, anything is possible. In non-canon sources there are a lot of hints that in the early days the Timelords did away with their time-travelling competition so it would not be that big a stretch to think that they might have seen other versions of themselves as threats as well and nobbled them too.

Of course the other side of that is there may well be other versions of the Timelords out there in alternate universes and some of them may not be so nice.

/RTD: I have ideas, will travel.

Forget about Winehouse Daleks - that broad is such a train wreck that she'd make a good Davros.

I still wouldn't watch it, though.
