At least these clowns were trying to do somthing! The Christian Scientists just let their kids die. In Hollywood, they let all the bums sleep on their lawn and defecate and leave hypos all around. People that use religion instead of medicine are farked.

Stupid people. Everyone knows you're supposed to put her in a cage and throw her in a lake to remove the demons.

the funny part is, when I typed in www.fark.com and saw that link, my tv [which was on but not being watched] had this Christian program where a reverend was screaming DEMONS BE GONE and tapping people on the forehead and they'd fall down.

..:P

It turns out this story has nothing to do with witches brew.

Okay, yes it does.

2002-11-10 08:13:32 AM
well the witch may not be a doctor but she does have enough training to get a signed release, just in case there's a "bad outcome".

At first glance, I read this as:

"Stupid girl dies after being forced to inhale witch's brew to rid her of demons"

which seemed a little harsh, seening as she was forced. What the hell, I just woke up.

I wonder what the girl did that convinced her parents that she was possessed by demons. :0

article text:

Hanoi - A 16-year old girl died after inhaling a preparation made by a village witchdoctor to rid her of evil demons in southern Vietnam.

The parents of Pham Thi My had been told by a village magician that she was possessed by demons, according to Tran Phuong, a police inspector in Binh Thuan province.

In an attempt to exorcise the demons, My was held down on a chair by her mother and father as Nguyen Thi Beo - a reputed witch from the village - put a substance on a coal burner underneath the chair.

My went into shock and died one hour after receiving the treatment in a province 50 kilometres west of Ho Chi Minh City.

Beo (39) has no formal medical training, but she had reportedly made a fortune with her practice in the village of Tan Long.

She was questioned by police after the death, but the parents have refused to press charges.

"The witch showed us a contract signed by the parents promising not to complain about the treatment's results," Phuong said. "However, we are still investigating." - Sapa-DPA

I guess stupid religious people act stupid all over the world. And it's not just stupid Christians and Muslims acting stupid.

2002-11-10 01:21:58 PM
Hahaha, witch's brew...

2002-11-10 01:41:57 PM

Was it anything like this?

2002-11-10 02:30:34 PM
Extract of hemlock, peach pits, emissions from a poorly-oxygenated IC engine...if this doesn't get rid of those demons, nothing will.

Nice to see that ignorance and superstition are alive and well.

I wonder what the girl did that convinced her parents that she was possessed by demons.

Vomited pea soup. The flushed it down the drain.

What's the daily discharge limit on demon vomit?

Witch's Brew is SO easy to make too.

1 part Bleach
1 part Ammonia

Mix well in a poorly ventilated area.

By reading this you are promising not to complain about the treatment's results.

Hahaha. Witch's Brew.

I rarely know what you are talking about.

She would have been cured and alive if they used this:
