I think I first found out about these "coincidences" in junior high - and a week later after that learned that in truth they're all at best incredibly vague and at worst just plain wrong.

so far Lincoln is at the moment the only president who was called an idiot more times than W. With lincoln as with bush both were derrided as backwards country bumpkins who had no business running the country ever much less in a time of crisis. Also in 1860 some of the southern states wouldn't allow any delegates to go for lincoln and he won anyway. Those states declared that he wasn't the legitamate president and broke away. Also when lincoln suspended the right of due process he was demonize as wanting to set himself up as king Abraham. familiar isn't it?

Bush may come close but he will never be as great as lincoln. Lincoln had the added bonus that his own party (even his own cabnet) was saying these things just as loud as everyone else. So I guess bush is only half as stupid as lincoln and therefore only half as great. But I'd take half of lincoln's greatness anyday.

I've known about this for 10 years, and I'm only 19 years old. I've done numerous speeches and papers on Kennedy's assassination and the coincidences between him and Lincoln and how Oswald didn't commit the crime.
