Mars better back off. I need my space.

2002-11-09 10:34:30 AM
How often do you think about space? forgot all about it

2002-11-09 10:35:52 AM
I wish that I had a nice telescope. Maybe I'll start a begging site so that you guys can buy me one. Is that a good idea?

2002-11-09 10:37:31 AM

Hmmm...
Mars=Roman God of War (or was it greek?)
Mars=Closer than ever in 2003
GWB=Leading us to war in 2003!

Therefore GWB=Mars

Don't you get it?!?! It all makes perfect sense!

2002-11-09 10:38:58 AM
I wish it was Venus instead (that's where women are from...)

2002-11-09 10:39:29 AM
This one will do just fine

2002-11-09 10:40:26 AM

I haven't watched Mars Attacks in a while

2002-11-09 10:42:46 AM
PREPARE FOR THE ATTACK!!!

2002-11-09 10:44:03 AM
Mars needs women.

2002-11-09 10:50:44 AM
Lies spread by the corporate owned western propaganda machine. In reality, the earth's orbit has been altered by illegal nuclear tests. Everyone is going to die a frosty death.

It's all America's fault, too.

2002-11-09 10:55:27 AM
Cpu_thrasher: All the planets are named after Roman gods and goddesses. The Greek equivalent of Mars is Ares.

2002-11-09 10:57:55 AM
Mars needs farkers.

2002-11-09 10:58:28 AM
Uranus.

2002-11-09 11:02:34 AM

2002-11-09 11:02:36 AM
I hear Mars needs women?

2002-11-09 11:03:31 AM
Vici: Thanks Vici, needless to say memorizing Roman gods was never my speciality.

i have a time share in mars. i hope it keeps getting closer, the shuttle ride is just so long.

2002-11-09 11:13:12 AM
34,000,000 miles from 36,000,000 miles. I'm sure that'll make a big difference during my nightly viewings of Mars.

2002-11-09 11:14:34 AM
So close you can smell it!

2002-11-09 11:15:44 AM
Dang, HotFarkette, how'd you get a ticket for the shuttle? Lance Bass tried to get one and he got turned down. Probably insisted on a return trip, though, so that may be the reason why.

Mind if I bum a ride with ya? I'm a real good conversationalist, and I'll chip in for gas!

2002-11-09 11:17:56 AM
I hope Mars doesn't get graffitied while it's so close.

2002-11-09 11:20:46 AM
Mmmm... Mars bar

2002-11-09 11:36:57 AM
Better watch out, next it'll try to pull in front and slam on it's brakes.

2002-11-09 11:37:00 AM
-anonymousguy-
i just walked into the NASA hq and asked for a ride.. i must have something Lance Bass doesnt? hm..? i wont be going again until January, but if you want to tag along thats cool.

Mars is booooring - Europe's going to Venus soon (though not in search of Women, Jetlabels).

2002-11-09 11:44:56 AM
HotFarkette: Boobs?

Whaaaaaaat?

2002-11-09 11:57:13 AM

2002-11-09 11:58:36 AM

2002-11-09 12:05:03 PM
good one stunta.. but not really.

2002-11-09 12:05:39 PM
You are probably right Stunta, I need to just calm down.

2002-11-09 12:23:16 PM
Ya know what, it would have been nice to have a program ready by 2003 to send some people over there. Would've been a quicker trip.

2002-11-09 12:25:53 PM

Hope they dont get this close!!

2002-11-09 12:29:45 PM
Who gives a shiat? wake me when they find LIFE on mars

2002-11-09 01:39:43 PM
Good, It will be close enough to bomb!

2002-11-09 01:39:54 PM
Would've been a quicker trip, but it still would've been a biatch getting home.

2002-11-09 02:04:26 PM
Mars is like that old lady on the freeway that slowly creeps into you lane. CHEW ON SOME FIBERCON MARS!!!!

2002-11-09 02:04:42 PM
i'm wondering why we can't/don't launch a shuttle at mars when it comes our way.

-could it beeeeee....................satan?

2002-11-09 02:20:14 PM
On Aug. 28, 2003, Mars will be at "opposition," the moment when the Sun, Earth and Mars will form a straight line...

It's the Great Conjunction! Call Augura!

2002-11-09 02:23:37 PM
And in the sleepy town of Grover's Mill...

2002-11-09 02:48:34 PM
I think this is pretty sweet and hopefully it will be more publicized as it nears so I remember to take a gander. The article said the moon will outshine it, but August 27, the day Mars is closest to Earth, is actually a new moon day, so the moon won't play a factor at all.

Well I knew i'd get to use that Ipaq for something important someday.... now it will remind me 15minutes before my new appointment to look up into the sky and see mars.....

2002-11-09 04:13:20 PM
AAAHH!! DUCK!

2002-11-09 05:41:57 PM
Wow How Very Interesting. I Can't Wait To See It In 2003.

2002-11-09 06:03:50 PM
We don't need Mars to be closer. Men are from Mars. What we need is Venus to pull up a chair, baby!

DeSelby

The list of composers Williams has copied from goes on forever. Worst of all, in interviews, he never credits composers he borrows from. A prime example is the theme from Jaws. It was obviously inspired by the IV movement opening of Dvorak's 9th symphony yet Williams has never acknowledge this. In fact, there is almost nothing original about the music in the Star Wars movies. He barrows from everyone ranging from Mozart to Stravinksy, and even Bernard Hermann (a far superior film composer) ..
