The really sad thing, this was probably made by a central group.

2008-03-29 12:08:04 AM
Big deal. An American kid would fark it up even worse.

2008-03-29 12:09:46 AM
I guess he'll just stay home, he's obviously not going to school anyway.

2008-03-29 12:15:46 AM
maybe. Although to be fair, English is probably not his first language. If a non-speaker were going to craft signs in arabic, they'd probably fark it up just as bad.

That guy with the morans picture though... he supposedly knows the english language, so he has no explanation other than stupidity.

No, pretty sure he is unable to speak English.

lonewacko.com

I really think this is a set up that backfired.

"hey guy, how do we get the attention of the middle east? we scream and taunt"

"hey guys, how do we get the attention of the west? show kids upset because the schools are shut down"

"we don't have it in the budget to do both...I know..lets combine them!"

"brilliant!"

Hey, Subbie, grab a piece of paper and make a sign using Arabic. Bet yours would sound worse to an Arab than this sign sounds to an American.

/I hate it when idiot Americans assume everyone in the world speaks (and writes) our language.

2008-03-29 12:51:09 AM
I gess its compleetly impossible that he did that speeling on purpose huh?

If he wrote it in Arabic we wouldn't be making fun of him. On the other hand,it's kind of stupid to make a sign in english if the arabic-speakers around him don't get it.

Oh yeah: Shiat that becomes popular on the Internet just happens by mistake. Totally random.

It's not announced by you, submitter, and anyone who refers to one as a 'meme' is a cock-smoking self-stroking dipshiatnozzle.

2008-03-29 01:34:27 AM
Hell, half the farkers on here can't spell worth a shiat and you're gonna give an arabic kid a bunch of crap for his spelling in English? Looser!!

Are you sure he isn't being ironic? Like "if I don't go to school I'll spell like this!"

Or maybe the Palestinians should ask themselves if their children is learning how to spell correctly.

2008-03-29 03:37:49 AM
Godscrack: Hey, at leest he used Copperplate Gothic Bold

My first thought was that the English mistake was excusable for a Palestinian, but the use of Copperplate... *shakes head sadly*

maybe he's making some kind of point... like that he needs to be in school.

At least the kid exhibits more grammatical prowess than the typical American youtube commenter.

Every photo coming out of the West Bank that isn't attributed to a particular photographer, is the product of a photographer that is "fighting for the cause" and is very likely also on the payroll of various Palestinian Authority or Hamas front groups. The attributed photographers are now so blatant in their bias there is databases online to check their names against to weed out the propaganda.

It's more likely than not that the photographer made this misspelled sign, or the hardliners who had their school shut down knew damn well how great irony works to draw the attention of rube schmucks in the Western media.

Congrats, Fark is being used as a propaganda tool.

/anyone have the pics of the American welfare mothers in a picket line protesting a school policy, with misspelled signs?

A Palestinian kid with bad English? That's unpossible.

Still more coherent than some hillbillies I hear talking.

It's something like a Babelfish translation. He probably even looked stuff up in a dictionary. Wayyyyyy more than many kids here could or would do. Give the boy a break. Now if it was some youth from the US, then I would point and laugh all day.

Yes, I to caught the wiff of american-centric-ism in that headline. Way to call him out on repeating the sign and guessing a predictable internet response.
Furthermore, considering The Sun is an idiotic American tabloid, you are totally spot on.

If he used a dictionary, he wouldn't gave come up with "wear," nor would babelfish. It's clearly either misspelt English he was half-taught (enrish teachings number 1 japan no so well) or it's intentional.

well, unlike the USA-morans guy, this kid writes in a foreign language, and realizes he ain't perfect yet.

i remember making mistakes like that as well when I was lurning the English language. hell I am not sure even now if it is heart of hearths, or hearth of hearts. or whatever.

/ besides, uneducated people end up having a weak state which is easy to govern. which is usually the goal of closing schools.

You are a tool yourself, my good sir.

Even if this photo was extremely widely disseminated (e.g. it became some sort of meme), it's completely unclear from the pic itself that it relates to any geopolitical issue. The kid could just as easily be from the US. Looks to me like the Sun saw a funny picture, and posted it. Shock, horror.

In fact, he should be glad his cause isn't identifiable, as it would only make him and his compatriots look bad. In the same kind of way that the image of president Bush, standing under a banner that says "mission accomplished" in "his" flightsuit started out as an earnest attempt at propaganda, but completely backfired for being stupid.
