(The Cannabist)   Edward James Olmos says it's not inconceivable that all of the Battlestar Galactica characters could die by the end of the upcoming fourth and final season--and that would be OK with him. So say we all   (scifi.com) divider line 88

Just so long as Baltar dies. Preferably in some horrifically painful manner.

Because when you have a show with a planned story arc and a definable endpoint, you can do wacky stuff like have main characters die in the end if you want.

/Just as long as everybody in that stupid love triangle story arc is first to go.

Now THAT would be my ending. Big confrontation with the Cylon fleet, total loss.

I like that they're going to end the story honestly. I love the series like I love bacon, but it has gotten a little filler-y in the last season.

I remember an interview I read somewhere back during the last season of The Sopranos, I think it was Scorsese, but whoever it was suggested that the best way to end that show was to kill absolutely everybody throughout the last several episodes. I always thought that was a pretty good idea.

Yeah, a few episodes had that low-fat turkey flavor - and I remember at least one was a tofu-laden, vegan crapfest - but by & large, this series has been 100% greasy ham sliced goodness.

Did he have sex with Starbuck? I thought it was a lot of groping and dry humping, but for some reason I am remembering that it ended with some smart remark to Starbuck and she kicked his greasy ass to the curb.

I think that's how every show with a series finale should end.
Melrose Place, have the whole apartment complex blow up, or an airline crash into it, everyone's dead.
90210, tragic boat accident, they all drown
I could go on and on, but having a series go out in a blaze of glory would be bad ass. It's too bad every writer/producer thinks they're show is awesome and might be made into a movie so they can't kill everyone

She called out Lee's name, and it bruised Baltar's ego.

I, for one, thouroughly enjoy this show. And I also hope Baltar makes it. To me, Baltar and Helo are the most interesting characters on the show (along with Athena, and not just for the pure fappability). Baltar will say and do everything and anything to survive, whereas Helo would (seemingly) rather die than betray who he is at his core. Like opposite sides of a coin, I suppose.

Ah! Thanks for refreshing my memory while simultaneously grossing me out to such a degree that I want to vomit in my mouth just to rinse out the nasty taste it gave me!

Personally, I wouldn't care WHAT name that woman called out. I'd still be putting it to her. I know she's not "classically" hot, but man, she's my kind of wildcat that would be likely to tie you down and fark you into oblivion whether you wanted it or not.

And of course you would. Just talking in hypotheticals here.

/the actress has a scarily similar personality to the character, from what I understand

I was watching Titus earlier today, and Titus himself actually says "so say we all" at one point, and I just stared at the screen. I was half asleep, so I kept wondering when the cylons were going to attack. It was very, very odd. And the ending to that play, albeit set a little differently, would be a perfect ending to the series.

Also this. Starbuck didn't fall far from Katee's tree. I think that's why Kara is such a great character.

He was possibly referencing the original campy version from way back when. But I don't really know if they said that in that series, as I was never able to watch.

As far as never reaching earth... I would LOVE to see them reach Earth, for the single purpose of answering my questions. Is it Earth as it is now, or Earth in the future? It's obvious that they aren't the Earthlings destined to be us, since they already have Dylan and Hendrix pumping through space, but what would they find?

My guess, if Olmos's prediction comes true? They have a huge battle with the Cylons that they somehow emerge from victorious, but badly beaten. They manage to lose the following Cylon ships and get away. As they approach Earth, us Earthlings (slightly in the future, I'd imagine) see an approaching blip on the space radar (whatever we'd use then) and panic. Sending all our nukes up, we blow them to hell and back, and never learn of the true origin of our species or the colonies.

/thus fills the geekiness quota of the day

I love her, and find it funny she was suppose to be killed off in the original episodes. But fans loved her like they loved Helo, and she stayed on.

She has a really scary resemblance to one of my wife's best friends, too. Except my wife's friend is a complete harpy queen, and I'm talking uber-biatch. So Cally is like the GOOD twin.

That would be interesting, especially since Kara can't have children. Now, if you were to say Chief Tyrol's/Cally's son Nick and Helo/Sharon's daughter Hera... That would be more accurate.
