When your opponent has to answer tough questions, you don't answer them for him. This is the most basic campaign strategy there is. All you do by answering is take the spotlight off his problems.

She can't win the nomination without some kind of shenannigans. Why is she still trying? High road, my deep blue eyes.

Hero???

2008-03-17 08:35:20 AM
The very first sentence:

While her campaign held a conference call to push Barack Obama to release even more information on his relationship with indicted businessman Tony Rezko, Hillary Clinton took the high road in a media avail with reporters aboard her press plane - deferring any and all Rezko-related questions to the Obama campaign.

So she doesn't personally attack Obama, but her campaign does. I guess in fox news land her campaign is somehow not related to her.

If people followed anyone around, taking eleventy brazillion pictures a day, they could make you look any way they wanted to.

I approve her lack of position on this.

Anyone that thinks that the Wright or Rezko stories will have any significant impact on the general election is an idiot. We have 8 months to go, and these things will be ancient history by then.

agreed. I sometimes fell sorry for politicians and celebrities. I cant image what would happen if someone followed me around with a camera and a tape recorder all day.

Read her statements regarding the Florida and Michigan primaries carefully. If you are not familiar with what happened there, google it.

Hero, my ass. We need a "conniving coont" tag.

Hillary doesn't want to talk about questionable real estate deals? Hillary doesn't want to focus on loudmouth supporters who say stupid shiat?

Shocking!

2008-03-17 10:48:30 AM
Well, if they DO include Florida and Michigan, than they have to raise the # to get the presidency. Either way, Hillary didn't win by much in either states, so Obama should get the remaining delegates.

Precisely. She can't say dick about somewhat shady land deals, and she certainly isn't going to bring up anything that might appear racist after the Ferraro debacle.

FTFA:

REZKO/WRIGHT
I think those are questions for Senator Obama and the Obama campaign.

REZKO - DID Obama RELEASE ENOUGH?
I think that there are a lot of questions, and those questions deserve answers. I know that those questions are beginning to be asked, but they should be directed to Senator Obama.

BUT YOUR CAMPAIGN RAISED THOSE QUESTIONS
Each of our campaigns raises questions, but it's really up to the press to ask the questions.

Translation:

FOX: Mrs. Clinton, your campaign is throwing around a lot of innuendo.

CLINTON: That's the job of a campaign. Now, the job of the press is to go and ask the follow-up questions for us.

FOX: You don't have anything to offer other than the innuendo?

CLINTON: No. We raise innuendo, you ask the questions implied. Savvy?

FOX: Wow, you're taking the high road on this!

Best summary of all this shiat I've read to date. Well done. Though perhaps you overestimate the intelligence of Hillary and her campaign a bit, they've been really clumsy so far.

Be careful Fox. You might just get Hillary for the next president.
Do you really want her with all those new powers Bush has accrued and that you guys love to defend so much?

You guys have been smearing her since your creation. Now all of a sudden she gets the nice guy treatment. You really think she's going to forget about all that?
And why isn't the media asking her about her connections to Hsu?
he's been convicted. He gave far more to her than Rezko did to Obama.

Oh wait. They're saving that in case she gets nominated. Barack is weathering it from both sides of the aisle. if he gets the nomination they'll be out of ammo against him.

2008-03-17 11:44:17 AM
Big deal. So she finally figured out mud-slinging at Obama doesn't work because it comes back double on her. What took her so long to figure that one out?

The swing state argument: Clinton's argument that if Obama can't beat her in the swing states like Ohio and Pennsylvania that Obama cannot win the general election only makes sense if Clinton is the Republican candidate (which some would say she is).

Why does your picture omit the word "really" from the Michelle Obama quote? Because you know, that drastically changes the entire meaning of the quote. Was your source just incorrect on its reporting, or do you just love being disingenuous?

And does your math include FL and MI?? Does it include the super delegates? Remember they were invented to stop this very thing from happening. "Super-delegates were supposed to supply some establishment stability to the nominating process." They are there to stop the young upstart from defeating the people who is "suppose" to win. And they are 40% of the delegates!!

Trust me it does not make me happy, but Hillary is the next POTUS.

I simply don't see how we can have Senator Obama as our nominee when he has shown such questionable judgment and given the Republicans such ammunition. If this goes on much longer, it will continue to damage not only Senator Obama but any democrat running in the fall. The nation's response to this should be watched very, very carefully by the Democratic leadership.

I have come to believe that should we nominate Senator Obama, we would be facing a defeat on par with McGovern losing by 49 States in 1972 or Carter (a sitting President) losing by 44 States in 1980 or Mondale losing by 49 States in 1984. This in a year when Democrats were supposed to storm into the White House.

I love how that image tries to make Obama "guilty by association" in 3 out of the 4 pics and allows the fourth pic to be taken out of context. If given the time, I could probably do the same for Hillary, McCain and zeroPOINTzero.

Someone has a bright future in politics.

First off, Hillary and her top aides REPEATEDLY brought up Rezko during this campaign. How on earth is that the high road?

They are taking the SMART road.

The smart politically calculated road is to talk about htis shiat again and again until the MSM picks up on it. Then, once the media picks up on it, you have no comment and act like you have nothing to do with the discussion. Then maybe you remind voters near election day about said scandals.

But only an idiot jumps on a politician during a scandal like this. You let the media do it.

Plus the "Texas campaign HQ" was a volunteer office not actually related to the Obama campaign at all.

And the hand-on-heart thing during the national anthem? I gotta ask, who seriously farking cares?

Like Pelosi said, "It's not just following the returns; it's also having a respect for what has been said by the people. [It would be] a problem for the party if the verdict would be something different than the public has decided."

Superdelegates are there to keep some nobody demagogue from getting the nomination, not to pick and choose between two equally qualified candidates.

It's not going to happen. Obama will get the 2025, especially if MI and FL have a re-vote, and he'll be the nominee.

Obviously you are just trolling, but I will point out that the third picture is not of any campaign HQ. It was some volunteer meeting place that had no official connection to the Obama campaign. It CERTAINLY was no Texas headquarters fro the Obama campaign.
