I go to Mason... and really couldn't care less.
I'd be excited if Mason would stop closing streets and parking lots for months at a time.

There's the team with local bragging rights. They look strong, and any team that plays D as well as JT3's squad should do some major damage in the tourney. Best of luck to your boys.

As someone who's in law school right now, make sure it's what you really, really want to do first, because it's really damn expensive.

I'm just happy Maryland is slowly choking its way into irrelevancy. Plus, seeing Georgetown playing George Mason in the Final Four would be awesome.

everyone else is pencilling GM in for a win right now.

which means, of course, you should make sure you have them getting bumped first round.

You've got Herb Sendek, you guys definitely won't do anything in the tournament. I'm surprised you guys did this well, considering how horrible of a coach he is. He certainly never did anything while he was here at NC State. I mean a Sweet 16? Consistent 20-win teams? What a joke.

GM will always hold a special place in my heart. Two years ago, i was part of a betting pool that had 65 people draw one school and how well that school did determined how much money you got.

I was more than a little pissed to draw the Patriots, being a KU fan and all. My friends all were busting my balls on my crappy school.

After their run, well, let's just say I will enjoy watching them on my 23 month old 56" HD set...

Geeze, it's hard to imagine you able to put pants on without getting both legs into the same hole.

If you sign a "real" contract without a lawyer reviewing it you are deserving of losing your nads.

I've seen those types of things before and always wondered how they payed out. Does someone like yourself who drew a lower seed win more money than someone who drew a UCLA or a Florida that year?

seriously, PSU is pretty decent - if not for a few bad injuries I htink they might have had a few more wins and would be a bubble team. Battle looks like something special, I would not knock PSU just yet, I think if they are healthy they can make the tourney next year.

Come on, everyone knows Sidney Lowe is twice the coach that Sendek is! Lowe was a consistent 20-win per year coach back in the early '90's.

Oh, wait....that was back with the Timberwolves during any 82 game season.

Never mind.

Everyone puts in the same amount of money, and then after that, it is luck of the draw. Payouts start at the Sweet 16 or Elite 8 level, depending on how you set it up. There is no regard to seeding. If you get stuck with St. Mary's School of the Retard, you better hope for a miracle...

Since there was no regard to seeding, is it safe to assume that you took home the same amount of cash as the person who got LSU, but less than the holders of UF and UCLA? To be able to afford a 56" HDTV 2 years ago, that must have been a hefty buy-in, no?

I've not heard of a system like this, sounds intriguing compared to the run-of-the-mill brackets (which I will be filling out in bunches a week from now).

Another George Mason alum here. 2006 was such a great run, I got so drunk during that elite 8 win over UConn. (wasn't at the game, just saying). Put us on the map and people have now heard of the school I graduated from. I'm just excited that I have something to root for in the 1st round again. Taking nothing for granted so any wins are just gravy...but watch out for that smothering Patriot defense whoever the #4 is they play. George Mason is no longer a Cinderella, they are a quality mid-major. The Gonzaga of the East.
Bah...whatever...I'm stoked.

Hey, idiot, D-III has the exact same tournament D-I does. Not televised, no, but the same structure.

Good Fark name though.
