dear lord, your right! people who are good at math and able to solve problems creatively are EVIL and stupid!

Crush the heretic, burn the witch! it's the only way to be safe, right?

Actually, we like to keep gamers and furries around as a reference to make ourselves look good.

Alright. Now, you meet a blatantly hostile and nuclear-armed dragon to the east that hates you and hates your father. What do you do?

Funny, I thought massacring unarmed Palestinian children is an even more certain sign of mental and moral inferiority.

And it begins...

Did you hear about what happened in the yeshiva in Jerusalem 3 days ago and how palestinians celebrated and praised that? There is your mental and moral inferiority.

They're also a bunch of Eastern Europeans who somehow think they're really a bunch of nomadic tribal people.

Ermmm, I wouldn't say "mentally inferior," since many of the people who play D&D are undoubtedly very intelligent. I'd be more specific and say that they are "emotionally inferior," as in they lack emotional intelligence. They can be just as financially successful or intelligent as anybody else, but bring them to a social event and you're undoubtedly going to be a bit embarrassed for them. I have played the game a few times and I went to a technical college, so don't tell me that I don't know what I'm talking about. Out of the hundreds of people I know who play D&D, the vast majority were socially retarded somehow or just awkward in general. Normal, healthy people simply don't do that sort of thing.

If you play D&D, that's fine. Good for you if it brings you happiness. But don't tell me for a minute that it's indicative of strong social skills or something, because we both know it's a substitute and not a compliment.

I f*cking love D&D man!

Well,I haven't played since 1985 but I really love it's legacy.

The main thing I love about it is how there are still so many dipsh*ts who still don't actually know what it is.

Try explaining D&D to your Jesus loving mother in law or the Pastor from their church. F*cking clueless.

I should have just told my in-laws that I used to be a junkie cattle molester and they would probably respect me more.

As long as they aren't dressed up like Hobbits, I don't see the problem.

Is it any stranger than spending hundreds of bucks on some clubs, standing on a mowed lawn with Sans-a-belt slacks and an alligator on your tit, and whacking a tiny ball, then putting the clubs up in the attic cause you have no time to play?

/huh?

I'm a chick. I play D&D. (Actually, I haven't played D&D for a while. I prefer Savage Worlds as it's less ridiculous mathematically). I like to think I'm moderately hot.

/Two can play at this AW game!

I'd say playing D&D is a sign of mental instability at least. Why play it when there are better games out there?

Eighteen-year-old recruits who admit to playing the game are, it's said, automatically given a low security clearance; an army spokesman reportedly described them as "detached from reality and susceptible to influence", which a cynic might consider prerequisites of any successful soldier.

So I'm guessing that they also give a low clearance to anyone who shows any interest in works of fiction. After all, it's not like the army could be full of hypocrites or anything.

ISTR a submariner in the US Navy telling me that D&D was more popular than you'd think on the subs. Basically, the books, paper, dice, and pencils you need to play don't take up a lot of room and are easy to stow. And you can get really, really bored on a sub.

(Also, I just noticed yesterday that one of my neighbors to the north has a gazebo in his backyard.)

studebaker hoch: I think that occupying someone else's country without first paying for it is a sign of mental and moral inferiority

The UN was involved in creating the land that was to be Israel after the murder of more than 6 million European Jews. Many of them were not allowed entry into other countries while attempting to escapte the Holocaust. More land was acquired during a later war. Although some of what Israel is doing might be questionable to some people, so much criticism of their actions comes from anti-semetism.
