When I was in the military, I knew a guy who was court martialed for distributing fliers on windshields in the parking lot of his perfidious wife's place of business, complete with naked pictures and details of her extra marital exploits.

An interesting point came out in the trial:
Had he omitted the pictures and vulgar language, he might have gotten away it. Turns out, it's difficult to prosecute someone for distributing the truth.

So he did MORE than just email the pictures... He also threatened her, etc, according to the article. I'm not sure if what he did warrants two years in jail, but then again, we don't know the exact details. Anyway, that's a pretty dick thing to do.

Of course, this is exactly why you never take pictures or collect other evidence of your own crimes--err, odd behavior.

Knew a girl a while back that was a bit on the wild side. She told me the story of how she had been out drinking with some girlfriends on the beach and had decided to take some topless pics of themselves. Those pics got stored on her laptop. That summer she did an internship and without thinking hooked up the same laptop to the company's network, which automatically backs everything up.

Laptop fails and she asks the IT guys at the company to restore it. She's telling me this and is pretty certain that they came across said pictures because after that they treated her very nicely. Never said anything to her, but were very nice to her.

Of course, my mental response was, "why take pics in the first place, and then why store them in a place that might ever be publicly accessible?"

The moral of the story is this: never ever take pictures of yourself doing anything that you don't want showing up on the 6pm news. Its okay to do things you don't want on the 6pm news, but don't take pictures, mmkay? Because eventually someone will post it on the internet and it just might come back to haunt you. Another way to think of it is this: don't take pictures of yourself that would be uncomfortable to talk about in a job interview--for the same reason. Unless you're a model, anything nude is probably in that category.

Of course the real problem is that a lot of the women attracted to the weird ones have their own set of problems. And that is the problem. Then they usually have offspring, which is a serious problem. For the good of the species, smart people need to breed more.

Look, not be callous, but there needs to be a government program to give smart, educated people more incentive to have more children because they are the group that we want having the most children (good genetics and all that) but they tend to have the least. We're doing it wrong!

This should really be something we teach in public schools.

When a friend or loved one asks if they can take pictures of your bathing suit area, the only scenario worth considering is the one where they eventually make their way to the Internet. It's the "sh*t happens" school of cost-benefit analysis.

Well I'm sorry. Since the women in my post weren't single (actually, I think one of them was), but married, does it really matter? Okay, I suppose it does to you.

Actually, the truth is that while I'm hardly immune to the beauty of a nude female, I am equally torn by the desire to rail against the sheer stupidity I see in the world whenever I see it. Sorry, it's one of those compulsive behaviors that the voices in my head tell me I should try to control.

Not only will I disagree with him, but I do so vehemently. There are have been stunning examples of change in human behavior throughout history. They are rare, difficult and exceptional, but they are possible. It's like the debate on free will. A lot of supposed scientists argue against it, but I vehemently disagree. Not only do I believe in agency, but I think it is necessary.

Years ago I sent out an email blast with nude pictures of my college girlfiend. The pics featured her doing a Jimmy Durante impression with a zucchini shoved up her butt.

It was a fairly targeted email blast - sent only to marketing reps for heavy machinery manufacturing companies. No one complained.

Some nights when it's quiet and I get a little "me" time, I think back on that and know it was the right thing to do.

That is as bad as the websites where women trash their ex-boyfriends.
