Darwin in Action. Sueing is just stupid.

I hurt my eyes and brain watching this:

Can I sue?

2002-11-02 08:43:45 PM
once again, Unaccountability demonstrated.

Donald McRonald:

Seeing that picture made me rip out my eyes...maybe we can file a class-action siut.

Accountability is irrelevant when there are lawyers.

They claim the hotel staff should have warned them of the dangers posed by the cliff..Now that's Farking funny

Omg! I don't know how you can say that about Cliffhanger, that was such a good film, yeah the script wasn't great but it's one of those films that you don't really care about the storyline cos it has you on the edge of your seat the whole time. Not as much so as Vertical Limit but still a wicked film none the less.

That is so funny!

2002-11-02 09:13:28 PM
okay, so thats how those funny but obvious signs get posted everywhere. someone had to do it. "warning don't get drunk and walk off cliff"

This is stupid. They should have to rely on their health insurance for this. To put the costs of drunk injuries on bars are just going to cause the bars to carry more insurance, raising the prices of YOUR beer.

I am afraid of heights and Cliffhanger scared the shiat out of me.

2002-11-02 09:18:27 PM
Obviously, accurate typing scares me too.

Fuzzygirl18 do you mean something along the lines of this sign that tries to warn people not to be tempted to drive their car into a big canal?

This is completely stolen, but I can't remember the source:

We could easily solve the problem of stupidity by taking the warning labels off everything, and let the problem solve itself.

2002-11-02 11:25:56 PM
I didn't think the stupid could sue?

2002-11-02 11:33:26 PM
sounds like a pair of lemmings
vertical limits and cliffhanger were both full of shait

Drunks... good men

It's people like this that make me want to pack it in and head into the mountains. Suing because you fell off a cliff. That gives the presumption that the entire human race needs babysitting. Whatever happened to being responsible for yourself. ESPECIALLY where you walk? The fact they WON the court settlement makes me want to just walk away from it all (preferably nowhere near a cliff, mind you).

Gimme a break.

The aussie courts must be backed WAY up.

2002-11-03 06:33:04 AM

How about just putting warning signs in all bar?

Warning! Drinking can make you do stupid things?

2002-11-03 12:31:40 PM
I've done a few stupid things while I was drunk. Now I'm going to get paid for them? Good deal. First lets get the dents in my car fixed then we'll work on the dents in my mind.
