US to Iraq... All your base are belong to us

Me to Iraq- "Right back atcha!"

2002-11-01 06:33:40 PM
With the rhetoric from the White House toning down, it really seems that we're probably NOT going to invade Iraq. Then again, maybe Bush is just temporarily distracted by the elections.

2002-11-01 06:34:17 PM
So now we're going to war against Sideshow Bob? Will he "send us to heaven" first by singing all of HMS Pinafore?

...poor little buttercup...

2002-11-01 06:34:18 PM
Iraqi Government: SEE YOU THERE FIRST!

2002-11-01 06:35:10 PM
Well, remember their rhetoric in 1990-1991.
Right before we kicked their hat-wearing-asses.

2002-11-01 06:35:39 PM
"The aggressors will be sent to hell if they attack Iraq," Ramadan told reporters.

But aggressors who attack the US get 72 virgins, I see how it is.

Then what?

2002-11-01 06:37:58 PM
It's about time they came out with another laughably overconfident catch-phrase. "Mother of all battles" has long since lost its amusement value.

Not that it matters, since it'll eventually come to nothing anyway. Too many people believe Saddam's just a harmless li'l puffball, and the Bush administration is just a bunch of ol' meanies who want their oil.

Wait for the U.N. inspectors to do their jobs, guys! Goodness knows they certainly were effective last time; and if they have problems, there's always the threat of [ominous drum roll]...SANCTIONS!

Feh. Piss on the lot o' ya.

You first, compliments of the USAF.

Bush can be temporarily distracted by shiny objects.

I'm still struck by the irony of an officially secular government telling off another in religious terms. It sounds like they're trying to win sympathy from the other Muslim states.

2002-11-01 06:41:09 PM
hhhmmmm Bush Sr = sheeiiit economy and war.....Bush Jr = sheeiiit economy and war

2002-11-01 06:42:13 PM
Yes, first Iraq, next the rest of the world.

3Horn:
Funny.

2002-11-01 06:44:14 PM
If Iraq is not hiding anything. Why are they totally apposed to a stronger resolution? Something smells like stinky pooter here...

2002-11-01 06:45:10 PM
WizardX, they've been trying to win sympathy from religious Muslims for quite a few years. Saddam has mixed some major mosque building in his busy palace-building schedule.

In fact during the 90s Saddam built the largest Mosque on earth, and continues construction on a variety of other large religious buildings.

Oh yeah and his people are starving.

Its a good thing last time i checked, Saddam Hussein's deputy was appointed God and allowed to declare who goes to hell. farking assclown/asshat

2002-11-01 06:49:26 PM
Bah, I was going to hell anyway.

2002-11-01 06:49:36 PM

This just in: Walter Cronkite awarded the Golden Asshat Trophy.

2002-11-01 06:50:21 PM
heh heehheh you said 'solo action'

2002-11-01 06:50:37 PM
When Operation Oedipus Rex (obviously little George is trying to impress him mom by outdoing his dad) starts to roll and we bomb the living shiat out of a bunch of hospitals and stuff, then we will see who goes to hell!

2002-11-01 06:51:22 PM
Nice headline.

2002-11-01 06:51:35 PM
Why oh why haven't we started bombing them yet?

2002-11-01 06:51:52 PM
I was thinking more 'obvious' tag or perhaps, 'dumbass'

2002-11-01 06:53:36 PM
We'll save you seats! Bastards.

HowlingFrog: I see your Boobies, and raise you a Weener.

I'm not sure how to respond to that.

But I'm considering sanctions.

2002-11-01 06:54:28 PM
speaking of hell, your delivery of it is forthcoming...

much as I angst gainst paying to kill people in a country that hasn't invaded us militarily, not to mention putting our service people in harms way, threatening the US under a Bush regime is the express route to an invasion of these twits. farking desert swabs.

2002-11-01 07:03:11 PM
"What're we supposed to use, man? Harsh language?"

2002-11-01 07:06:23 PM
Rocko67 If Iraq is not hiding anything. Why are they totally apposed to a stronger resolution? Something smells like stinky pooter here...

It's a question of sovereignity. Every time they agree to a set of our demands, we change our minds and up the demands. Just imagine, you get pulled over. First the cop asks to step out of the car. Then he asks to search the car. Then he asks to pat you down. Then he tells you to bend over.
The fact that you don't want the cop to make a grab for your prostrate does not necessarily mean it's because you've got a gun shoved up there.

I'm not saying I totally sympathize with Iraq at this point, but I get the feeling that Bush is trying to goad them into doing something stupid. His handling of the situation is pure beligerance. It's turning into bullying, and it's making us look really bad in the world's eyes. At this point, Iraq has already agreed to far more than, I'd argue, any soverign nation should be forced into doing. What they've agreed to already makes it incredibly unlikely they could hide weapons, and there's no such thing as 100% sure. The US should be happy with what they have; Iraq is going to be contained for some time.

2002-11-01 07:08:43 PM
Who is going to hell?

A) Americans who live their life without a dictator.

B) A dictatorial president who wants to make daddy proud.

C) Male Muslim Arab nationals between the ages of 17 and 40

2002-11-01 07:14:20 PM
WizardX: Very well stated.

2002-11-01 07:14:32 PM
"The United States does not want the inspectors to return, Ramadan said. Instead, "It wants either that Iraq refuses the formula proposed by the U.S. administration so it can say that Iraq is not complying with U.N. resolutions, or that the inspectors come with obstacles that prevent them from performing their job properly."

Gotta hand it to this guy, he sorta nailed it here didnt he.

Kinda makes you think of the list of Austrian demands to Serbia in July 1914, doesnt it? (im not implying that ww3 is going to break out here, but just that it really looks like we're just praying theyll say no so we have more legal ground to invade)

Damn 3Horn and his trolling. Lets just leave it at; If everyone here is currently enrolled in a degree 'higher' than commerce and intends to get an MBA/honors and has a proven buisness recored in the real world then and only then can you look down on GWB's intellect.

But no, he looks kinda like a monkey and is dyslexic, he MUST be an idiot.

2002-11-01 07:21:25 PM
I am now in favor of attacking Iraq, after having been against it.

What changed my mind is smallpox.

We can't risk having a weapon like that in Saddam's hands, and there is a good chance he has it.

So, I would rather blow his ass to hell than risk him unleashing hell on us.
