Don't worry, bud--they never draw blood in emergency rooms. And they certainly never test the blood they don't draw.

That guy's seen too many action movies. If he comes out of this without permanent damage and/or chronic pain he'll be extremely lucky.

Nothing like having a friend give one shot in the shoulder to get the blood flowing.

This reminds me of a time at work this guy came up to me and asked if I could tell he was stoned. I said "yes, I can". He asked me how, and I told him "you just asked me if I could tell if you were stoned or not".

One of my friends once asked me for a urine sample, and he had a cup and everything. I was like "uhh...no"

This. I know in movies you can get shot in the shoulder and still chase down and shoot back at the other person, but in real life, you'd be lucky if you could still hold onto the gun, let alone aim and fire it.

It just seemed appropriate

Instead of getting himself shot he could have just called and said he had a bad cold, something like: 'Hawoe? I'm sick (sniffle), and can't come in for that drug test (cough) today, mmmkay?'. That might have worked out better in the long run, people usually recover from colds, however injured shoulders can last a lifetime and require lots of pain meds...hmm, maybe this will work out for him after all.

That must be one crap job.

"Kurtis Johnson, 24, of Burbank, was arrested and booked into the Franklin County jail on investigation of reckless endangerment for allegedly shooting Kuch.

Kuch was jailed on suspicion of making a false report and his friend, Oleg Barbarosh, 19, of Pasco, was booked on unrelated arrest warrants."

AND this guy is military. Good to know we have the best and brightest serving our country.
