FTA: "I would not want to continue existing like this," Kosilek testified in June 2006.

Ok. Fair enough. I'm sure many taxpayers support that choice and enthusiastically encourage you to pursue that end.

Headline:
Prisoner who had sex change suing because she's turning back into a man. Specifically, she's turning into Geddy Lee

FTA:
A killer who sued to have a sex change claims her body is becoming more masculine again because she's being denied treatment in prison as she awaits a ruling in her bid for the surgery.

I think Submitter got a little ahead of themselves, but can always have it chopped off.

And here you have it folks, a sign of the end of times. This shiat has just gotten ridiculous.

Not only is this personally mentally deranged and perverse, but shim's also abusing the legal system. So, in essence, shim's screwing shimself, and everyone else as well.

I'd like to slap this person in the face.

There are a great many transsexuals in the world who are not murderers, and if we're going to be providing government funding for sex-change operations, I think we should start by offering them to the non-murdering segment of the transsexual community and work our way down from there. Call me callous, if you will.

I like trannies -- some of my best friends are trans, and I mean that literally. But Jesus, most private insurance doesn't cover this, government programs sure as hell don't, so why the hell would we considering providing this service to a convicted farking murderer ahead of everyone else?

You! Back of the line!

I agree if it's your own time, and own money, rock on. But as it was said before - Tax payer's money should not go to this. If indeed it was her/his own money that was used, I still say too bad because SHE/HE IS IN JAIL! You know, the place you go to when you do bad things as punishment.

This is a completely ridiculous case. I have no problems with transgendered people, in fact, I think it's pretty awesome if that's what you want to do. I do, however, have a big problem with people who bilk the state for no particular reason. You've been incarcerated for life in prison, we're already paying (as taxpayers) something like 65k a year just to keep you behind bars. Why in the hell should we be paying more money so you can have your dream of becoming a woman? Why should we do that when there are plenty of broke-ass transgendered people out there who haven't killed anyone?

It would be one thing if she was already having this treatments going into prison. I think you could argue then that it would be kind of cruel not to continue them. Once inside though, I think any elective medical procedures, no matter how necessary the prisoner deems them to be, should not be the state's responsibility.

Unless your medical condition is actually going to physically harm/impair or kill you (no, I don't think suicide because of depression counts here) then the state shouldn't be obligated to pay for it. If this guy couldn't afford it without having murdered someone and gone to jail, I see no reason that the government should foot the bill for what is, in the end, an elective procedure.

I agree. If she'd been having these treatments beforehand & if these treatments were really & truthfully a medical necessity, I'd have no problem. However, she's not going to die b/c she's not getting her hormone treatments & hair removal appointments done.

I don't understand why we let people in Prison do this.

You're in for life, you murdered someone.

You lose at life. Get back in your hole and STFU.

There are law abiding people who need procedures done to save their lives, and they pay for this piece of shiat to have a sex change?

I'm having a Louis Black moment, holy christ, someone get me a valium!

I think they should offer him a choice. A) You get your operation and treatments, then we electrocute you. B) You get nothing and like it.

She claims self-defense. I wasn't there so I dunno.

But guilty or innocent, right or wrong, asinine or hero, and male or female, you gotta have SOME kind of balls to be a TS in a prison that's PMITA to begin with. Talk about being a target.

2008-02-27 01:12:37 AM
Man, I hope he get's farked in his ass in jail! Seriously, if he can't look like a girl in prison, I bet he can find someone to treat him like one.

Hey, it's a cosmetic surgery. You don't have a "right" to it. Being of a specific gender, regardless of your self identification is in no shape way or form an illness. I will say, his life is going to be harder in prison and he will need extra security to make sure he doesn't become someone's biatch. But if he wants breasts and his penis turned inside out, he can wait to do it with his own money when he gets out of jail.

2008-02-27 01:32:21 AM
Regardless of whether the state should or shouldn't pay for this, the state HAS to unless they can prove otherwise, and they spent $52k to stop this person from getting a $20k operation. Now, I'm no math wizard, but it sounds like they spent $32k too much.

No they spent about 51,699 to much $1 for 3 rounds to the head from a guards 9mm $150 for the two seasons at the state contracted physcologists office for said gaurd to help him with coping with killing above strange sad he/she thing.

I'm a modern enlightened fellow see I can understand that the gaurd may have stress from getting rid of the murdering blight on society.
