The "h" term is wrong. It should be Dirac's Constant (I can't make the symbol), not Planck's.

Don't fark around with carbon monoxide boys and girls. My great-grandmother got put in the hospital after accidentally leaving her car running in the garage.

Also, my dad forgot to provide ventilation for the new furnace he installed. After he died, I went back to visit my mother on a semi-regular basis and every time I ended up with a splitting headache that went away only after I left the house. It took 6 months before we finally figured it out. Turns out the guy who sold us the furnace told my dad to cut the ventilation in the ceiling of the closet for just that reason. The CO detector went off in about 5 minutes after we turned it on. We now think the CO was partially responsible for his stroke.

Boils water for heat...it's how radiators work. We have one (not British).

Had a friend and his girl friend check out from CO poisoning. Cops found him on the couch, her at her sewing table. The furnace and wood stove we're vented properly. One day the wind was blowing just right and they died, the end.

Top it off when my dad was in college he got the flu. Sick as a dog for two weeks. Lying in bed feeling really bad he heard the wall heater go on, saw the light from the fire burning Orange... Orange! Got up opened the windows. Turned off the heater. Turned out the flue was full from top to bottom with soot.

some dance school moved in to the bottom floor of my building. It's currently 75 degrees up in my studio. in switzerland, in february. every day the creepy old dude who runs the school goes down to the basement to cycle the boiler so that the precious snowflakes he and his fake russian hooker wife babysit (you cant teach 4 year old to dance, duh) don't get cold. every time the boiler does a reboot it sends a bunch of air up to the radiators in my space resulting in a maddening fish tank sound. I'm going insane, slowly.

This is why I have not one, but three CO detectors in my home.

Know/knew a family who was all but wiped out by carbon monoxide poisoning over Christmas a few years ago (6 people out of 9). I have been known to give CO detectors as birthday/Christmas presents to people who don't have one.
