That list was retarded. Acne is bad, but sickle-cell anemia isn't? Cystic fibrosis? Downs Syndrome? Tay-Sachs? Huntingtons?

2008-02-24 02:53:35 PM
I just wanted to say having a big peener isnt all its cracked up to be.

PUNK tattooed on the knuckles isn't because of the derogatory meaning of the word, it's about a musical lifestyle.

What a bunch of asshats.

Broadcastdave - I just wanted to say having a big peener isnt all its cracked up to be.

It's true. It's not like having a big ol' set o' titties that you can advertise. You try trolling around a bar with half your ween sticking out & you're goin' to jail. Probably end up on the sex offender list too.

Or worse. Accidentally touch me with that thing and I might just kill you.

Small peener strangely absent from list

The PC term is "being Irish."

2008-02-24 03:24:44 PM
Kay, so bullying and color blindness are worse than heart disease, and Huntington's doesn't even make the list. A list which includes baldness and acne.

It's not science, it's livescience.com.

/Nice to see breast cancer get a mention, though. Mom and both grandmothers had it. I'm screwed.

2008-02-24 03:53:06 PM
Breast cancer is on the list, but not prostate cancer?

This list is gender biased.

2008-02-24 04:09:50 PM
Small peeners aren't hereditary. They occur when the mother doesn't get enough vitamin p during pregnancy.

2008-02-24 04:13:13 PM
Those were the worst?! Baldness? Seriously? ¬¬

2008-02-24 04:36:31 PM
What's wrong with being an alcoholic?

2008-02-24 04:42:46 PM
Chameleon: That list was retarded

Agreed. Though I love the "alcoholic" pic-

images.livescience.com

Alcoholic has diabeetus.

2008-02-24 04:45:43 PM
Sure, cystic fibrosis kind of sucks, but hey, at least you've got a lovely full head of hair.

2008-02-24 05:39:25 PM
What no midget gene? I'd rather be bald than a midget.

2008-02-24 06:26:52 PM
I think they may have factored in how common a condition is, everyone.

2008-02-24 06:36:31 PM
What kind of farked up list is this? Baldness makes the list for being one of the top ten worst hereditary conditions but Huntington's disease doesn't? Also.... when did having twins become a bad thing?

2008-02-24 06:38:13 PM
Put me on the list of those who are disappointed. No CF, Huntington's, Parkinson's, or Hemophilia of any sort? Sorry, but being bald? Not so bad. Heaven forbid you have acne.

2008-02-24 06:39:25 PM
Type 1 Diabetes.

2008-02-24 06:52:11 PM
ummm, listing lactose intolerance as a minus is stupid--it's the default condition for most humans.

It should be on the list of mutations that are great.

oops

twins? I like twins

2008-02-24 07:05:32 PM
dnrtfa,

but I inherited both Muscular Dystrophy and Neurofibromotosis from my mother, and manic depression from my father (every man on his side has it)

/happy birthday, junior!
//betchya these weren't on the list

2008-02-24 07:20:10 PM
Sucky list. Try again.

2008-02-24 07:26:02 PM
DNRTFA, but judging from these posts, it must be overflowing with FAIL.

2008-02-24 07:27:36 PM
So, some figures say 70% for AD/HD, which is supposed to be *more* than height. Anyone care to comment?

It's an awesome mutation to have!!

/Loves me some dairy!!

Gotta be more subtle. Let a couple of Trojan Magnum XL packages fall out. When questioned, complain that they pinch a bit.

Huh 2x?

Huntington's, that's a total genetic screw over. But I would want to know, because if I had it, I'd be wanting to cram a whole lot of interesting living into what quality years I did have. Then I'd probably kill myself before I declined to the point of not having that option.

/and wouldn't have children either

2008-02-24 07:49:58 PM
Some of those? What? Really? Also some are a bit off in their assessments.

2008-02-24 07:52:04 PM

I can check them for lumps early for you
/You set yourself up for that

2008-02-24 07:54:37 PM
Asthma and Allergies ?! If both parents have it it's a 90% chance the child will have it

2008-02-24 07:59:47 PM
"Its a bird..." is a really neat look at the life of a Huntington's family (and superman)

also, i take comfort in the whole genetics portion of my small peener, its not like i could have done something about it growing up... and i've told chicks that, lol

2008-02-24 08:00:29 PM
That list was definitly full of fail.

/life is screwed over by genetic "presents"
//would much rather be bald than deal with some of this

2008-02-24 08:05:30 PM
gambling is the only disease where you win money.

/norm mcdonald

2008-02-24 08:32:31 PM
Yeah, I was expecting a real horror show. This was a list of 10 COMMON hereditary conditions.

I really don't see what twins are doing on this list. I see zero negativity in having twins.

2008-02-24 08:32:42 PM
Page doesn't even work. In regards to earlier comments, I'm part Irish and safely above-average in my maleness.

/apparently the part that's Irish is above the waist.

2008-02-24 08:43:55 PM
We start the story when Mom met Dad
And they danced all night and he took her home
It might have been all the wine they had
But they rolled the dice and won your genome

Then you grew and you grew and one day you were you
And you looked like your father and mother
If you're looking for someone convenient to blame
You can take your pick it's one or the other

2008-02-24 08:44:24 PM
Station: Type 1 Diabetes Diabeetus.

FTFY.

/Brimley-bot SMASH!
//If you'll excuse me, I have a cock-fight to attend.
///Not THAT kind of cock-fight. I'm much too Irish.
////Not really Irish...
//*sob*

2008-02-24 08:49:57 PM
Flatulence

My bad. That's one of the top ten best hereditary conditions.

2008-02-24 09:10:58 PM
Hmm, let's see, Dad has diabetes, brother died of heart disease at 47, Mom has had skin cancer, breast cancer and (bonus) is a diagnosed schizophrenic...

/have not reproduced
//still live with my ex-husband
///have 6 cats
////wonders why I drink so much

I'll happily accept either. I thought it was just "being me."

2008-02-24 09:39:21 PM
Guess which one of those ten hasn't shown up in my immediate family? That's right--color blindness. We're cancer-ridden alcoholics who are bald or dead by 45, but we sure can see colors!

Oh, and ladies... I'm single!

2008-02-24 10:47:01 PM
My dad gave me HHT. It's awesome and since a patient on House had it, you know it's awesome too!

2008-02-24 11:21:30 PM
Hmm, 10? phew, 9? phew, 8? phew, 7? phew, 6? phew, 5? phew, 4? phew, 3? phew, 2? phew, 1... uh-oh.

2008-02-25 12:21:43 AM
Alcoholics go to meetings... I'm a DRUNK!!!!!

2008-02-25 12:44:29 AM
Another sucky list. Needs more fatal stuff.
McListed^

2008-02-25 12:44:51 AM
Then it's settled:

The white devil conquered the new world with advanced foreknowledge of American Indian genetics.

And having twins is a bad thing? How does that come half-way between alcoholism and baldness? WTF?
