That's pretty embarassing to be out of the game after just one beer, even if it did hit him in the head.

Beer. Is there anything it can't do?

Police urged anyone with information about the incident to contact them.

Isn't the UK carpeted in surveillance cameras? Even wearing a balaclava, can't they just follow him home?

A man wearing a balaclava entered the shop in Chesterton on Friday evening and demanded money as he threatened staff with a knife, police said.

However, he escaped after a female customer who was in the Beasley Place shop threw a full can of beer at him, hitting him on the head.

Witnesses report the man thanked the customer, saying, "Thank ye, lassie, that's all I wanted th' money fer anyway!" and left with the can in hand.

I don't think the can burst. So really, you just have to let the can sit for a few hours and then it's fine. So it wasn't wasted.

How so? Even with your face concealed, you still have to go somewhere, and if the cameras are as ubiquitous as I've heard, I'd think you could be tracked.

D'Annunzio: Beer is one of my favorite food groups.

Are bacon and coffee the other two? I really hope the can did not burst because if it did, that's a waste of beer. Unless of course it is Budweiser, Miller, Coors, or anything else similar or below those three.

I hate to take issue with received Fark wisdom, but the UK is not covered in cameras following your every move. The one study that sought to determine how many cameras there were took one street in *central London*, included in the count cameras that were on private businesses (think crappy b&w cameras in 7-11's), included in the count CCTV *inside* private buildings not used by the public and then extrapolated that out for the entire country. Even the ones that are used by local councils are seldom manned by operator. They are used by the police after crimes have been committed.
