Hey I used to work in Oak Park!

2008-02-12 04:59:17 PM
So what is being tossed from the passenger side and is that the thrown object above the driver side windshield?

2008-02-12 04:59:44 PM
Oak Park? I had no idea they were here. Now all of you Farkers can find out what a terrific place I live in and make some offers to buy my house. Just under $500,000.00. You know you want to buy it.

I'm somewhat surprised that they have a sign on the car. That seems like it would open up things to all sorts of shenanigans. And fingers.

Can anyone say about how long it takes from car->internet?

I ask because I saw a Google car in my tiny town a few weeks ago, but nothing on the maps yet D:

I love how they show what's available via streetview by highlighting the areas on the map in blue.

/chicago area
//thinks google is the shiat
///would never work there though, them be too cheap

2008-02-12 10:21:22 PM
subby...this is actually pretty cool, and I'm sure you think the same. but unless the google car cut you off, your buddy is a dick for flipping him off.

And while the bird does add a certain charm to the pic, methinks it will garner enough attention on the internets for google to deem it inappropriate and replace the imagery for that map location.

So blame your buddy when they delete you from google maps street view.

2008-02-12 10:23:15 PM
My car is visible on my street on google earthview. It has a ticket on it. ONE DAY I skip work and I get a ticket. ONE.

/No, I'm not posting it.

2008-02-12 10:23:55 PM
I was waiting at a red light when a google car passed in front of me a few weeks ago, so I'll be looking to see it I'm immortalized.

I think it's cool, so there.

Well, how could they miss you driving around (all by yourself) in your giant SUV?

Gas guzzler.

I thought it was cool for you until your friend decided to be an attention whore.

2008-02-12 10:30:02 PM
what farking car is yours? the Volvo?

daychilde: Can anyone say about how long it takes from car->internet?

Minneapolis went up in early January maybe, and the pictures were taken in late July and early August. I never saw the GoogleCar(tm), but I know the time frame because you can see the I-35 bridge in one picture, and it's collapsed in another. That was August 1.

If you want to check that out, you can drive across the bridge in Street View, but from University Avenue you can tell it's fallen down.

2008-02-12 10:32:54 PM
Here's (new window) the closest street view has gotten to where I live.

Though not a lawyer, I have fallen asleep while "Law and Order" was on - some I'm sure I absorb comprehensive knowledge of our legal system. With that in mind, I advise you to sue Google for 54 million dollars. They failed to inform you, in writing, at least 24 hours ahead of time that their Google Voyeur-mobile would be filming you - thus not giving you a chance to wear a better shirt and maybe one of those aviator scarves to give you a bit of a roguish image. You also could have hired a high-class escort to impress the farkers. As a result of Goggle's irresponsible picture taking, you've been subjected to emotional distress.

/I'm now entitled to 25% of any settlement you reach.
//I also advise you to sell your vehicles, as teh pedophiles now know what you drive.

Constance Velocity: Well, how could they miss you driving around (all by yourself) in your giant SUV?

This was the same rented Ford Expedition that drove around certain actors during the filming of The Dark Knight. I don't expect anybody to be impressed by that, it's a just another coincidence that I find entertaining.

2008-02-12 10:42:33 PM
explain to me again why this got the greenlight

2008-02-12 10:45:35 PM
If you plug in our address for google maps, zoom around and look at the facing of the building where we live, you can see me looking out the front window and my one cat in the window next to me.

Kind of amusing.
