Selig's such an asshat.

2002-10-27 07:29:41 PM
Selig, Die Furhur of Baseball.

2002-10-28 01:28:42 AM
Is he going to fine himself for letting this information get leaked?

2002-10-28 01:30:07 AM
The fans boo'd his ass when they introduced him during the ceremonies following the game. Excellent.

2002-10-28 01:30:32 AM
Come, children, let's gather round the campfire for a rousing chorus of "fark Bud Selig in the Goat Ass".

2002-10-28 01:30:35 AM
Can we fine selig?? really.. can we??

2002-10-28 01:33:02 AM
*YAWN* Who cares.

2002-10-28 01:34:35 AM
Bud's crack supply must be running low. Time to raise for crack funds.

2002-10-28 01:37:30 AM
I say we go to Milwaukee, form up a decent size lynch mob, go and string up Bud and Wendy Selig from Gibbets in the Left Center bleachers in Miller Park.

Who's with me?

2002-10-28 01:38:20 AM
Who cares, baseball is finally OVER... am I the only one who thinks the baseball season drags on too long. I already refuse to watch because of the asshat players always demanding more money.. ahhh... at least hockey and basketball are back... wont be long until basketball is ruined however.

2002-10-28 01:38:44 AM
boo-urns! Bud Selig personifies everything that is wrong with professional sports.

2002-10-28 01:38:52 AM
Now that the season is over, let's get back to the business of tying Bud Selig to a rocket and shooting him into the sun.

Or is that too good for him?

2002-10-28 01:42:36 AM
This, after the way he treated Christiansen's hat/DK 57 thing a few days ago - not exactly good for popularity. But I guess he's not running for senate or anything at the moment so whatever.

2002-10-28 01:42:41 AM
Radiofreewill

I like my lynch mob and gibbets in Miller Park idea better.

Maybe Miller Brewing Company could give out free beer if the corpses get hit by a home run ball or something?

2002-10-28 01:45:06 AM
Forget Lou Pinella being manager of the Devil Rays, make him the new commissioner!

Press conferences are about to get a lot more entertaining.

2002-10-28 01:47:44 AM
what a tool. bush should have stuck with his original plan of becoming comissioner of baseball.

2002-10-28 01:48:06 AM
Baseball is over. Tis the season for contact and collision sports.

2002-10-28 01:52:47 AM
that would be awesome, shigelojoe. he would start throwing microphones around if he didn't like the questions.

2002-10-28 01:54:00 AM
Sounds stupid, but I really care noting for sports, unless I happen to be on the team in question. Volleyball is more my speed, though.

2002-10-28 01:54:30 AM
if fans still had any say in sports other than paying money to already overpaid jocks, management for majour league sports wouldn't be so goddamned corporate, and more of a fan service to the people WHO GIVE THE MONEY to these sports. why would you give your money to an institution that doesn't do what you'd like it to do? aside from paying taxes, that is....

2002-10-28 01:58:10 AM
*Sighs* i need to get off the soap box...

what i meant to also state is that, yes...if NOONE really agrees with Selig's absolute sh't for brains business decisions, someone should be running the MLB in a way the fans support. not when the "furhur" feels like he needs to shake his fist in dismay with things.

of course...the MLB is a monopoly if you think about it...who else is playing baseball on TV that's not MLB (excluding the little league world series on ESPN)?

power trip...pure power trip

2002-10-28 02:03:18 AM
you're absolutely right about mlb being a monopoly, Meatofmystery. it's specifically exempted in the Sherman Anti-Trust Act. it's one of the things that sen. wellstone was trying to have changed in an effort to save the twins, fwiw.

I miss SlayerSwine's hilarious comments on each and every article...

2002-10-28 02:06:52 AM
So,, If you are not in the world series you are not allowed to be talked about in the media while the series is being played? another reason to boycot the sport.

I am glad Baseball is over at long last the Simpsons Shall Return.....

2002-10-28 02:09:00 AM
Time to remove the legal restrictions that protect baseball from anti-trust law and banish asshats like Selig to the heap of has-beens

2002-10-28 02:25:04 AM
ever go to asshat.com? If your answer is no, be rejoiced in the fact that that you haven't been there.

2002-10-28 02:26:04 AM
I quit watching baseball back in 1991, I was a kid, wanting to see the series, but thankfully the players reminded me that its not about the game and the fans, its about the money.

We also learn from baseball that doing drugs is good, betting is bad, so kids, remember, always use a fresh needle, but shoot anyone calling themselves a bookie.

2002-10-28 02:32:25 AM
Jeeze, how petty can you get? How the hell did this moron get to be in charge?

udo
2002-10-28 02:33:09 AM
How DARE the Mets try to find a new manager. HOW DARE YOU!!!

2002-10-28 02:45:28 AM
Selig can suck my dick.
First he tries to contract the Twins, saying they're not competitive enough. Oh, who almost made it to the Series this year. Then he says they could probably be saved from contraction by building a new stadium, cuz that'll bring in more money. Meanwhile, the Brewers' Miller Park, (Selig's team btw, in case you didn't know he runs the league [poorly] and owns a team, a major conflict of interest) which is less than two years old, is almost always nearly empty for home games. You know why? THE BREWERS SUCK!!! It doesn't matter what your park is like if no one would be caught dead there. Go to hell Bud Selig.

2002-10-28 03:11:40 AM
Why on earth would Selig even care if the Twins are making more money or have a new stadium? It's not his team. He can go back to selling cars and shut the hell up.

2002-10-28 03:16:44 AM
He has to show signs of doing his job, and contracting bad teams is for the "good of the league."

2002-10-28 03:26:08 AM
holy crap...Fark can unite on one glorious cause...and that's Bud Selig is a useless asshat.

2002-10-28 03:33:23 AM
Well Meat,

People do tend to join together and oppose pure evil, even Farkers.

2002-10-28 04:09:13 AM
I think baseball players should strike.

Forever.

Except that rally monkey. I'm strangly drawn to its hypnotic powers.

2002-10-28 04:13:32 AM
As the saying goes, Bud Selig...eat a bag of Hell and DIE. Just...DIE. The only other fitting punishment would've been presenting the World Series trophy to the owner of the Twins, not because I'm a fan of the Twins, but because justice would've been so delicious. And since that didn't happen...eat a bag of Hell and die, Bud Selig.

Later.

pathighgate, fark that, i think baseball fans should strike. ...and then we can sing "fark bud selig in his donkey ass".

2002-10-28 04:42:05 AM
Wow! More American Wanky Sports News! I didn't know rounders was that popular?

2002-10-28 06:05:09 AM
What is this baseball you speak of?

2002-10-28 07:47:47 AM
It's a game so incredibly boring, that rumors from thousands of miles away about the change-out of a single person threatens to steal the thunder of actual play.

2002-10-28 07:49:06 AM
10-28-02 02:06:47 AM Andwarf
I miss SlayerSwine's hilarious comments on each and every article...

Speaking of which, did he get banned again?

2002-10-28 08:14:20 AM
Thank the maker baseball is over. Stick your Rally Monkey up your ass.

Maybe we can force a strike next year and end baseball for good.

2002-10-28 08:24:30 AM
Any HTML yet?

Italics?
Bold?

2002-10-28 08:26:10 AM
Crap. How long is this ban gonna last, anyway? It's been nearly a month...

WTF?

2002-10-28 08:38:20 AM
What this article assumes, of course, is that anyone gives a crap.

2002-10-28 08:55:03 AM
Death to the Mets! I mean Selig. No, I mean the Mets.

2002-10-28 09:08:29 AM
Sports are a waste of time. Who the hell cares.

2002-10-28 09:10:10 AM

2002-10-28 09:17:11 AM
50 grand... damn... I bet they wont be able to afford bats for the whole season now...

Major League Baseball currently own the Expos (is that right?) in a search to find a buyer and move them out of the frozen North. So, explain to me how that isn't the biggest possible conflict of interest.

bah, screw basebell. Basketball season is here. GO MAVS!

oh, while we're on the topic of sports, have the Lakers and the Kings built up a rivalry like that of the Heat/Nicks? I can't wait for their next meeting at Christmas. It's going to be like a televised UFC event (I hope) :)

2002-10-28 09:29:53 AM
I love Bud Selig! He's going to drive baseball into the ground, and then we can have interesting sports in the summer, like watching flies fark in the paint drying on the growing grass (well, interesting compared to baseball...)

Oh, the evil glee! Baseball couldn't have come up with a better commisioner without using the Khmer Rouge as the executive staffing agency. Muuuuhuhuhuhuhahahaha!!!!
