Last night's general trend: Obama took the "Red" states; Hillary the "Blue"

Who's drinkin' what now?

2008-02-06 10:51:22 AM
WTF does that even mean?

Nestea Plunge: WTF does that even mean?

It's an anology. IE, Seinfeld is to the Simpsons as Frasier is to Futurama.

See, I like both wine and beer, but I like Obama and not Hilary. Does this mean I'm supposed to drop beer altogether?

He's Irish now?

I drink whiskey, so I'll oversleep and be too hung over to vote on Election Day.

It's highlighting the blue-collar urban Democrat's difference from the white-collar suburban Democrat. It's why Obama was able to take Connecticut while Hillary dominated places like Boston and other Mass. cities.

Still waiting to find out who I'm supposed to vote for based on my relaxant of choice. Difficulty: I smoke my liquor.

/Green Party?

If I choose not to decide, I still have made a choice.

I drank a beer after voting for Obama, and lost all sense of identity.

2008-02-06 11:16:38 AM
I only drink Tequila, so I guess I'm voting for Richardson.

2008-02-06 11:16:58 AM
Isn't obama popular with the college crowd? Beer is pretty big there, in college.

Apparently democrats are the alcoholic party.

This... Boy, am I confused. Do I drink wine tonight or beer while out for dinner?? And, am still allowed to "smoke my liquor" as madmann so elonquently stated?

Ron Paul's got the peyote crowd on lock-down.

2008-02-06 11:20:16 AM
They make wine in California and New York, the brew beer in Missouri.

2008-02-06 11:20:42 AM
Hillary is a tequila democrat.

honestly, this.

the purpose of an analogy is to make your point EASIER to understand.

Skleenar: They make wine in California and New York, the brew beer in Missouri.

They make some damn fine beer in New York, too.

That said, I'm farking disappointed with this state going to HIllary. Or any state going to Hillary. What's wrong with the Democratic party?

Whoever gets the Dem nomination gets my vote, beverage preference notwithstanding.

I visited another forum to get information about a gun purchase. Said forum had a general/politics section so I checked it out. There was some blather about what they would do if Obama or Clinton were elected and someone said "vote from rooftops". The implication being that they would be using their guns to "vote".

People agreed with that sentiment, mostly.

This manufactured beer/wine divide is a joke. What's next, pie/cake? Automatic/Stick? Beard/Mustache? And who the hell is the scotch candidate?

2008-02-06 11:24:32 AM
One bourbon, one scotch, and one beer
One bourbon, one scotch, and one beer
Hey mister bartender come here
I want another drink and I want it now

My party, it's gone, it been gone eight years
I ain't seen my party since ninety-nine, I want
One bourbon, one scotch, one beer

(Spoken)
And then I sit there, gettin' high, mellow
Knocked out, feeling good and by the time
I looked on the wall at the old clock on the wall
By that time, it was ten thirty daddy

I looked down the bar, at the bartender
He said, "Now what do you want Johnny?"

One bourbon, one scotch, and one beer

My party, it's gone, it been gone eight years
I ain't seen my party since ninety-nine,
I wanna get drunk till I'm off of my mind
One bourbon, one scotch, and one beer

(Spoken)
And I sat there, gettin' high, stoned
Knocked out, and by the time
I looked on the wall, at the old clock again
And by that time, it was a quarter to two

Last call for alcohol, I said,
Hey mister bartender, what do you want?"

One bourbon, one scotch, and one beer
One bourbon, one scotch, and one beer
One bourbon, one scotch, and one beer

This indeed.

But if Obama wins, I'm uncorking my best bottle and sharing...you better believe it.

I think the micro-brewery beer elitists are a vastly ignored demographic that swings to Obama.

stargazer101: Seinfeld is to the Simpsons as Frasier is to Futurama.

You actually consider that a valid analogy?

2008-02-06 11:34:53 AM
So smart people voted for Obama? I guess it's the fault of those 'liberal-socialist indoctrination centers' known as public schools and universities. We should keep encouraging our youth to be home schooled, where they can learn of the bible and grow up to believe exactly what their leaders tell them about the rest of the world and the economy here at home. Dear President knows what's best for all of us.

2008-02-06 11:36:04 AM
the national review should stick to pointing out what robust shoulders and chins their favorite republican daddies have. they are completely tonedeaf when it comes to anything else. drink a lot of wine in Idaho do they?

2008-02-06 11:39:30 AM
Can't we all agree that politics has no place in a beer discussion?

2008-02-06 11:41:22 AM
Who's surprised that cons support Romney? He's the rich guy trying to buy the White House. That's their groove.

Obama has the guilty white guy vote, which is enough to keep him in it.

What will happen there is that Clinton will take the nom at the convention. Black voters will be mad as hell and many won't vote, which makes McCain the next POTUS.

Dammit. His years of kissing Bush's ass are going to pay off for him.
