Uhhh..yeah. If I recieved a big posterboard with paint sloshed all over it, it would make me rethink the ivory trade too.

"..."NABU hopes this symbolic union of man and beast will raise awareness ...."
I swear to god, the only reason it was written that way was to give some farkin' pervert a chubby ! Union of man and beast. Hey is your target readership Kentucky residents or what ?

Ugly-ass and baby elephant are mutually exclusive terms. Just ask any 4 year old.

"NABU hopes this symbolic union of man and beast will raise awareness of unregulated ivory trade," the spokesman said.

I agree. We must regulate this lucrative ivory market so that we can tax it!

Yes. I'm sure the elephant was moved by deep feelings on the issue and a desire to promote change in the world.

Big deal, Antimatter. My can can lounge around watching TV while licking his butt.

Seriously, though. My cat can actually open doors. He does this bit where he gets up to the door, stands on his hind legs, jumps up and wraps his front paws around the doorknob. He then contorts his body back and forth and kicks the door with his feet until in opens.

He especially enjoys doing this around 4 in the morning.

... I'm sure the elephant fully comprehends the matter of the ivory trade.

2002-10-26 12:08:54 AM
Nope. There's no such thing as an ugly-ass baby elephant.
