I'll stick to Pocky... thanks.

Although, the honey butter twizzle things look pretty darn good... same goes for the chick in the tub!

That does not sound very enticing.

2008-01-27 10:56:56 PM
As odd as that sounds, I would absolutely try those if they came to the U.s.

2008-01-27 10:57:03 PM
I'd eat that.

Why are American companies offering more choice to damn dirty foreigners than red-blooded Americans!?

I want strawberry cheetos, chocolate cheetos and farking bluberry cheetos. And I want them now, you America-hating bastards!

2008-01-27 11:04:29 PM
There's not enough pot in the world to make me eat that.

2008-01-27 11:06:00 PM
Those corn-starch packing peanuts are flavor-neutral and will take any flavor you throw at them.

A couple of years ago my roommate worked the opening of the new Wrigley R&D facility on Goose Island. She brought home a goody bag of Wrigley products, many of which were from overseas.

The one I really remember was the chocolate gum. It tasted ok, but was a bit offputting, really.

Wouldn't the dust from strawberry-flavored Cheetos would look just a bit morbid?

2008-01-27 11:57:46 PM
well it's not like chee-tos have any flavor before they put the cheese dust on them. it's unfortunate that their name sounds like "cheese", but really they're all just flavored sticks of fried cornmeal.

bring on the sharks fin chee-tos!

but they're still called cheetos, which leads me to believe the fried cornmeal is covered, in no particular order, by powdered cheese and some sort of strawberry crap

if there was no cheese, just call them strawtos or something

see now that's disgusting. i just figured they were using the chee-tos brand name because of the snack's shape and manner of flavor-putting-on.

cheesy strawberry sticks? yeah that's a recipe for vomit.

Maybe there's no cheese involved. All I know is I think there's cheese in the formula based on the name. Eeeew.

I love strawberry cheesecake.

Cheese and strawberries, like fries and Frosty, is a helluva lot better in practice than on paper.

/depends on the cheese, as well.

We use to have chicken flavored Cheetos back in Indonesia. It's DA BOMB!

I was bummed when I got here to the states to find that Cheetos only comes in cheese.

Reminds me of the dried strawberries in MREs back in a day. Which were quite tasty.

This don't sound quite the same.

2008-01-28 01:47:31 AM
Bah, I'll have me Fruity Booty over this any day. Arrr!

Salty fries bring out the sweet in the Frosty, and vice versa. My little brother's the one responsible for me doing it now.

I love the link to the crazy Japanese drinks. I want to try Pepsi Ice Cucumber :P

BTW, has anyone ever heard of the soda brand C+? I swear I drank a can of C+ soda when I was in Canada, but I haven't been able to turn anything up with a Google search. It was such a funny name that it stuck with me.

I always thought she was the 'tubgirl' everyone kept mentioning. Then I googled tubgirl and found the other one.
The internet died for me a little that day.

2008-01-28 02:01:17 AM
I just threw up in my mouth a little bit...

2008-01-28 02:02:16 AM
Now all we need is strawberry flavored Mountain Dew. Also, I'm sure those cheetos will taste great in milk.

Found more of "the better tub girl" here (pops). No "original" tub girl, I promise, but there are fatty pics further down the page, so be warned.

If there were a couple cans of Natural Light and a camo jacket somewhere in that picture, I'd swear that is Ms. Beaumont, TX.

I'm pretty sure that there's no cheese involoved in these strawberry Cheetos. It's only the corn puff base that's the same as in normal Cheetos, so they use the same branding. That being the case, I can imagine that these might taste OK -- I'd certainly be willing to try them.

Also, a strawberry and corn flavor combination isn't that weird. That's basically what Franken Berry cereal is. And I've eaten strawberry jam on my cornbread before. (And those Honey Butter Doritos mentioned in the article just remind me of this as well -- cornbread with honey butter. Yum!)
