How much are you guys paying?

And by "you guys", I mean the horrible drug-crazed criminal element.
And I'm only asking about it out of concern for a massive influx of more drug-crazed criminals.

staplermofo: How much are you guys paying?

I don't know what it is you are referring to, but if I had to guess, the answer would be $125 to $150 per. Depending on grade it could be as much as $300.

My police officer neighbor tells me that here in FL heads pay 400 an oz. Maybe that's the trumped up street value he's talking about. We were having a laugh at the irony in the stoner slacker stereotype, and the reality of paying that much , and the responsibilities involved with earning a steady paycheck to afford that price regularly.

I'm just curious. Is the "Class X" felony because they actually ran through "Class A" through "Class W" felonies, or was it just picked for psychological purposes?

Jackson said Holliday told investigators that Lee had paid her between $500 and $1,000 to accept between 15 and 20 deliveries from Phoenix previously.

That doesn't sound like someone explaining a single shipment. I guess she disliked being used as a drug drop and not getting paid much for it.

And now she's facing 12 to 30 in the penitentiary. Remember kids, you can't make deals with the cops so shut your face and get a lawyer who's not an idiot.

pinch_harmonics: How would Fedex know? Do they have dogs? Or is this just a case of bad packaging?

I'd suspect that the airport dogs regularly go through the cargo carriers.

There was a guy in New York City that would use bicycle messengers to deliver the goods. He finally got busted because Stuttering John talked about using the service on the Howard Stern show. The guy running the ring was a regular caller on the show, it got enough mentions that the cops were able to put two and two together to start the investigation, then evidence just fell into place. It was a pretty good plan until loose lips sunk the ship.

Speaking for the citizens of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, I'd like to say: Y'all can kiss my ass.

And as a resident of the 2nd largest producer of marijuana in the Unites States, I's like to say: neener neener neener!

I miss the days when a fat oz. cost $35. And this wasn't ditch weed, or that crap that grew wild out behind Grandad's barn, either.

Word.

Never, ever, ever, cooperate with the police. Ever. Doesn't even matter if you're innocent. Just don't do it.

The only words that should ever come out of your mouth are, "I want to see a lawyer." Once you say that, if they refuse to show you a lawyer then everything you say is inadmissible in court as evidence - still, even with this fact, don't say crap to them.

The police are not your friends. They don't want to do right by you. They don't want to help you. They are doing their job, and they're more than happy to do it by threatening and intimidating you if they can get away with it, and if this means setting you up so that the prosecutors can charge you with 4 or 5 different felonies so that you'll plead guilty to a misdemeanor, then so be it.

Remember, actual justice is hard and time consuming. The modern C.J. system is set up right now to browbeat and threaten people into settling cases before they go to trial, effectively taking away your right to a defense.

Don't let them do this to you - keep your mouth shut and talk to that damn lawyer.

I understand your confusion; teh British wore red coats; Santa Ana' officers wore red pants. With all the armies around in those days when we were winning our independence from teh Indianans I guess it was all-too-possible to mistake one for the other. Happens all the time and is teh funnay. Just teh other day I confused my 80-year-old French grandmother with a can of bamboo shoots, for example-so I have some sympathy for you.

the ups and fedex drivers around here drop off packages and quickly drive off without asking for your signature. i imagine you could have packages sent to a vacant house or when people are on vacation.
watch out for any cars stakeing out the house and at 3am run up and take it.
