Over my dead body. Nuff said.

The bad part about all this will be when I scan the chip on some hooker, and because the chip won't scan correctly I'll have to call on her pimp for a price check. I hate when that happens.

Soylent green, huh? Sounds tasty, what is it?

How long until someone suggests that this should become mandatory "for the children"?

Prediction: In ten years, you'll be considered a left-wing nutjob if you oppose such a minor, reasonable security measure as chip implantation.

I can just see the FARK forum on it now -

12-06-12 11:58:42 AM AsshatMaster (UltimateFark)
These liberal scumwads just want to help the Mexican Muslim terrorists. That pansy president Richard Simmons has finally come up with a good idea and the loony lefties oppose it. Chip implantation - it isn't just a good idea, it's the law!!!!!

All the baptists warned about this... your hand or your forhead... some one right this down its either the hand or the forhead... of course those are the 2 points in the body that give off the most heat which can be used to recharge whatever bateries these things have, speaking of batteries the baptists say this is the mark of the beast and it will be come ulcerous... hmmmm bateries under our skins... watch out people...
Whats sad is im a sci-fi freak and am totally for this... even though i was raised to be scared of this, and deep down i really am... but i want it so bad. Next the moon!

Tuesday is Soylent Green day.

So let's see we are now using 83% of the Earth's surface. We want national ID cards. We have cameras outside. We want to be able to track everything you do on a computer. We can track you on your cell phone and with your credit card. Did I mention that your boob implants have lot and serial numbers on them.

If you question Big Brother ( Prez. Bush ) you can be sure that the FBI has a file on you. Well at least if you question him loudly enough. And point out the fact that he is an idiot. I am sure they will add this to mine.

And of course this chip is only going to be used for medical reasons. Maybe initially

And Social Security numbers were at one time confidential.

But don't worry it isn't like they are going to take away your forth amendment rights.

Let's see here natural resources, going, going,....

Government removing your right to privacy all in the name of protecting you.

Ignorance is strenth.

And it's okay it's just one small microchip.

Calvin:

So if there were monsters under my bed how big would they be?

Monsters:

Very small go to sleep.

I am going away now before I sound like some paranoid wierdo, oops to late.

the baptists say this is the mark of the beast

Woe to you oh Earth and sea, for the Devil sends the Beast with wrath because he knows the time is short. Let him who hath understanding reckon the number of the beast, for it is a human number. It's number is six hundred and sixty-six...

I only know this because of Iron Maiden

Oh wait. Nevermind.

No, that was Nirvana.

I like you Ant! Man, just the headline alone scares me. I was raised in a fanatical so. baptist home (now ateist) and have read firsthand predictions over this over 15 years ago. Makes one scratch their head doesn't it.
As for nightsweat, it IS the liberal leftist nutjobs that want this. Jeeze man, listen to Boortz sometime! I hope all of you worte your senators and representatives after posting here as I am about to do. Don't just sit there and biatch, biatch to the right person.
I'm done

Uh, I think if you were to examine the Ashcroft-ian bent, you'd find that removing civil liberties is a rightie specialty, not a leftist one.

At some point, people will realize that extreme leftists and extreme rightists start to look like each other. Hasn't anybody here read 'Animal Farm'?

A surprise decision by the Food and Drug Administration permits the use of implantable ID chips in humans, despite an FDA investigator's recent public reservations about the devices.

A surprise to anybody who hasn't been paying attention to our Jeso-fascist Attorney General.

Uh, I think if you were to examine the Ashcroft-ian bent, you'd find that removing civil liberties is a rightie specialty, not a leftist one.

Removing civil liberties is a specialty of extreme whackos from both sides. I just think that the left wing has a little more sway with the general public. Especially given all the free food and medical care that they're so fond of.

Extreme whackos suck!

"If you are to become my mate, McCoy, you must be given the instrument of obedience."

Instrument of Obedience
Small electronic device implanted subcutaneously in the temporal area of the brain in all citizens of the asteroid ship Yonada as a means of controlling their behavior.
If an individual spoke against the teachings of the Oracle, or otherwise violated the society's laws, the Oracle could cause the instrument of obedience to emit a strong pain stimulus.

If intense enough, this stimulus could cause death and was thus an effective means of enforcing the will of the Oracle.

Personally, I don't have any problem with the FDA approving testing. Test all ya want! Voluntary stuff? Just fine with me. There are legitimate, non-intrusive uses that could be very good. Tacking kids, though? Not a good use, and hopefully someone will be able to show through some sort of movie the possibility of child molesters using hand-scanners to track down kids, then hacking the "Child Safety Star" system to block parental tracking. Voila, your kid is lost, and because you always count on the system, you don't know how you could ever find the little tyke.

Could you tell me who the left wing is? I'd really like to know, because I'm not seeing much in the way of oppostion to conservative spendaholicism.

Why do you need to hide?

Oooh! Scary Logan's Run quotes:

Jessica: A friend of mine went on carousel. Now he's gone.
Logan: Yes, well, I'm sure he was renewed.
Jessica: He was killed.

Logan: Run, runner!

And some not so scary quotes...

Logan: Come, let's have sex.

Hmmm. Ya know... maybe a chip in the hand ain't so bad....

SOYLENT GREEN IS MADE OF PEOPLE!!!! PEOPLE!!!!

Wow! screw gun control laws or ballistic fingerprinting, can you imagine how many violent crimes could be stopped if everybody had chips implanted from birth that tracked you every where you went? Now thats the solution to problems like the sniper/s in Washington. Oh wait I guess if the person came from another country and came in illegally across the leaky Mexican border with a Chinese guin, then once again losing our personal freedoms or rights is not going to solve a problem.

finally St_Ides, i've been waiting to see if someone had said that as I was reading this, to see if I had to put that as well.

Now onto Soylent White, and Soylent Orange.

2002-10-23 07:19:00 PM
C'mon people, this whole chip thing is no big deal. When they start making it mandatory to implant a chip into your hand then you people have room to biatch.

No farking way I would ever put one of those babies in my head. Maybe in my hand, if it was incredibly convenient, but my hand?

Massive corporations already track every transaction I make. How do they do it? With my Kroger Card and my student ID that I use to buy meals with.
