Sorry Rudy, not yours!

Seeing as how I don't know of a single person in NYC that would so much as consider voting for him, nevermind the cops/firemen/teachers that live outside the city, this is not the most surprising thing I've heard.

Maybe people have finally figured out that 9ui11ani is a one issue candidate.

It's bad when you have as many delegates as Duncan Hunter.

I can't wait either, NYC hates the guy.

The NYT ran an article this week about Rudy's revenge tactics while he was mayor. It was enlightening for those of us who are a long way from NYC and one more damning nail in the coffin of his campaign.

Rudy thinks he's Tony Soprano.

How can Rudy work 9/11 into economic issues? (new window)

That was so funny.

Seriously -- not even my Republican parents would give him a second thought.

I can't think of anyone in NY, especially in NYC on that day, who would even entertain the thought.

Hate to burst you guys bubble but Rudy is gunning for his stand in Fla, not NY. Still not likely to work but at least get your facts straight.

2008-01-23 05:37:51 PM
I'm thinking about voting for him in the NY primary, but only as a strategy to keep the GOP race up in the air. If Giuliani won NY, it would stretch out the race a bit longer and hurt their chances. Too bad that doesn't seem likely now, and if Hillary Clinton wins the nomination, I'd rather have McCain be the one that beats her.

Awww man, Skookum isn't in here yet? He's gonna say how Guiliani is the only candidate favored by the powers that be because he'll take the fight to the Trr-rrsts overseas....

Mumble something about him putting dissenters into camps.

It's funny.

2008-01-23 05:57:26 PM
Oh and by the way, he's not going to win in NY.

I don't care if he's concentrating in Florida, he won't win there either.

In Florida, he's only behind by NINE/(eleven) points.

I think I may have more delegates then Rudy. I accidentally won a few in Nevada.

Dang i wanted to see him win.

He could have ended up being better for the Dems than shrub.

Yeah he was that nutty.

Us folks that live near NYC know crazy rudy.

He was so farking nuts especially when somebody pissed him off.

The man had no control over his temper.

FTFA: Meanwhile, Giuliani's support has been evaporating - prompting rival campaigns to start eyeing a prize that long had been assumed to be Giuliani's.

"Now that Rudy Giuliani's campaign has collapsed, New York State is wide open, and we intend to fight hard for those 87 delegates," said Jim Ostrowski of Buffalo, who is organizing a slate of delegates for Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas

Gotta luff Apostle Paul's practically Churchillian attitude...

"We shall defend our Coney Island, whatever the cost may be.
We shall fight on the Brighton beach, we shall fight on the fair-grounds, we shall fight in the Central Park and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills. We shall never surrender!"

Close but no ceegar, Big Paulie.

Can you imagine a Ron Paul/ John McCain ticket?

Vote Paulie/ WalnutZ '08!

Silliness aside fer a moment...

There are many reasons to properly loathe Rudy the Ghoul. If I had to pick one that wasn't 9/11 related it would have to the fact that the ignoran*s is flying around the country in Paul E Singer's Private Jet

I simply loathe Vulture Fund parasites.

Paul Singer has more direct political connections. He was the biggest donor to George Bush and the Republican cause in New York City - giving $1.7m since Bush started his first presidential campaign.

Rudi Guiliani is the favourite to be the next Republican presidential candidate and a leaked memo from his campaign shows that Paul Singer has pledged to raise $15m for Guiliani's campaign.

All creatures of conscience should do so.

Gordon Brown the successor to Tony "LapDog" Blair feels much the same way apparently.

Good fer him.

/There are about nine hundred and eleven reasons in total not to vote for the man from the naked city. This has just been one of them.

No self control?

Hmmm, now imagining a no holds barred cage match between Rudeboy the Ghoul and Shrillary "Iron Thighs" Clinton.

Now smiling ^_^

>> Hey, who else does that remind you of?...

Definitely not the Clintons.

8 years of the entire right wing "He-Man Clinton Haters" machine on his butt not to mention a repub congress and a special prosecutor.

And he had enough self control to use their own force against them and jujitsu them into a big congressional loss in 1998

The worst is a presidential candidate that did just about everything wrong on sept 11 but ends up running on his record of "accomplishment" during the crisis.

Desterion: I can't decide which is worse. The submitters that still think rudy 9/11 headlines are funny, or the admins that still think they are.

I disagree. As long as the subby can use it originally and not just post it at the end of the headline, it'll never get old.

Rudy isn't tired of 9/11, so why would farkers ever get tired of 9/11 jokes?

patrick767: The NYT ran an article this week about Rudy's revenge tactics while he was mayor. It was enlightening for those of us who are a long way from NYC and one more damning nail in the coffin of his campaign.

What would also be enlightening for those of you who are a long way from New York City is a nice long look at the city's 30-year slide into the shiatter that reversed itself roughly around the time Giuliani took office.

Yes, the crime rate started to drop shortly before Giuliani got there, but that's due to Ray Kelly's work back when he was an NYPD deputy commissioner.

David Dinkins was a dithering pantload of a mayor, and all Giuliani had to do to stand out from his predecessor was to be visibly in charge and be visibly not taking shiat from anybody, most especially Al Sharpton. This he did. And all of that's great if we were electing an asskicker-in-chief, but we're not. So that's why Rudy's not getting any traction - because he did his best work 15 years ago.

Rudy would be truly useful putting his old prosecutor's instincts to work investigating the UN. My hunch is that oil-for-food and sex scandals are just the tip of that nasty little iceberg.

Oh, and about revenge tactics. Here in New York, that's called a typical politician's breakfast.

Meh. I think it is. As long as Giuliani keeps using it, I don't see anything wrong with farkers using it.

Today's a red letter day here on Fark! We finally found out what bugs Desterion. War based on false information that cost us hundreds of billions of dollars and thousands of lives with no end in sight? Nope. Record deficit spending? Nope. A corrupt Justice Department? Nope. It's those annoying 9/11 jokes aimed at a Republican.

I do have to say that Rudy's plummet has been the most entertaining thing about this whole primary season. Couldn't have happened to a creepier guy.
