The first smart idea Ventura's come up with since he was elected!

2002-10-21 08:49:59 PM
I don't understand how this advances the cause of women at all. Someone explain this to me, please.

Pretty goofy stunt to pull.

It would make more sense if he was doing something ridiculous, like making his goldfish Governor for a Day.

But his Lieutenant Gov. is right on about not wanting to be Lady Gov by default.

Silly Jesse.

WTF is up with all the odd coding on the page, in several areas it said ......Weird...

That as an aside, Ventura has done a lot for minnesota..I hope he moves to Pa. and becomes governer here... He has actively traveled abroad in order to bring manufacturing companies into the state, he is BRUTALLY honest, something that is indeed refreshing from a politician. If there is no money, he tells ya, if there is money, he gives it back to the people, if you get in his face he tells you what he thinks of you just before kicking your ass... I guess I don't understand why people have a problem with him...

This stunt is demeaning to broads everywhere.

2002-10-21 08:57:05 PM
God-

The only reason why I have any respect at all for Ventura is because of the time he referred to Christian Fundamentalists as brainwashed sheep with no minds of thier own.

2002-10-21 08:59:11 PM
its funny how most of the people who like Ventura arent from Minnesota.

At least it would be if I didnt live here.

2002-10-21 08:59:14 PM
lmao@ Alto!

2002-10-21 09:00:04 PM
God-,
The coding was intended to display as ellipsis(es) ....hey....what the heck is the plural of ellipsis? (The dots, not the oval.)

The '& # 1 3 3 ;' was supposed to have read, ". . ."

Anyhoo, there's your problem -- someone switched this thing to 'evil'.

2002-10-21 09:00:53 PM
haha, Alto_

2002-10-21 09:01:12 PM
Haha... woman governor... That's as funny as the French not surrendering...

2002-10-21 09:06:29 PM
Cool? How about insulting?

2002-10-21 09:07:26 PM

Haha... woman governor... That's as funny as the French not surrendering...

I guess you're not from New Jersey.

God- Agreed, I'd be tempted to vote for him as PA governor as well. I saw one of the debates when he was first running for office. The republican and democratic candidates hemmed and hawed around every question trying not to actually have a clear stand on any issues for fear of alienating voters. Ventura handled every question the same way; "Here's where I stand on the issue, this is why I feel that way, and as governor I'd do this about it". I was tempted to move to MN just to vote for the guy after that.

2002-10-21 09:20:02 PM
Well, now that's why Minnesota is the most livable state in the Union. Never had a woman governor.

2002-10-21 09:20:54 PM
Hmmm, I wonder if she would blow the other senators to get stuff through...

Not that I'm sexist...biatches hate that.

2002-10-21 09:23:02 PM
I'm usually a huge backer of Gov. Ventura. He's smart, but not afraid to voice his opinion. I just don't see how this will do anything.

2002-10-21 09:39:33 PM
I guess a woman governor is OK as long as they don't let her do her own driving.

2002-10-21 09:40:29 PM
I always wanted to like Ventura, at least he had the balls to say what he thought, unlike most pols who have to take a poll before they have an opinion. Unfortunately, he tended to act like a spoiled baby once elected. That said, man, it would be great to see this guy in a presidential debate with whatever idiots the 2 parties nominated.

Steel cage grudge match, anyone?

2002-10-21 09:54:46 PM
Ventura may seem nice in small doses, but when you live in the state and hear daily about him throwing temper tantrums at the press... it gets tiring.

2002-10-21 09:58:13 PM
its minnesota, with 10 months of winter we get amused by simple things.

2002-10-21 10:03:12 PM
Minnesota.. home of Prince.. The funkiest state in the union, dontcha know?

Obvious theme song for the Mae Shunk administration:
George Clinton and the Parliament Funkadelic performing "We Want The Shunk". You're all singing it to yourselves right now.. admit it.

2002-10-21 10:15:24 PM
This actually happened in Ohio. A couple of years ago, our Governor (George Voinovich) was elected to the Senate, and he had to take office there a few days before his term ended as Governor, so he resigned and Lieutenant Governor Nancy Hollister took over for like a week as the first female Governor.

Of course, no one here gives a shiat, but I figured I'd throw that out there.

2002-10-21 10:22:08 PM
so if she couldn't get there on her own merit, she should get there on a gimme?

2002-10-21 10:27:28 PM
Were I the Lt. G'vnr, I'd be insulted as shiat if this happened. Complete tokenism, and complete denegration of the equal rights concept. Gee, let's just make you some temporary symbol so the Wrestler-in-Chief can gain a legacy point. FEH!

2002-10-21 10:40:29 PM
jesse has done alot of good things for minnesota!!

i don't get why so many people complain!

2002-10-21 10:47:39 PM
As your brother, Panndder, I can tell you that you're an idiot. BTW, I'm actually his brutha (and not in the slang way).

2002-10-21 10:48:04 PM
*cough* misinformed *cough*

2002-10-21 10:48:17 PM
aww shiat I just realized I shouldn't have said that. Now I'm guilty by association.

2002-10-21 11:08:20 PM

2002-10-21 11:15:26 PM
Gov Cellucci did this in Massachusetts and look at how that turned out. We got Gov. Jane Swift. blah. Let's Go Mitt Romney, the stormin' Mormon!

2002-10-21 11:29:09 PM
I hope he does it late enough that she has no real power. She is a bigger wacko than Jesse.

2002-10-21 11:37:17 PM
Ralph, if you're still around, the biggest problem as that he was elected as fiscally conservative and socially liberal, a win-win for most people. But in the end, our state budget DOUBLED from 1991 to 2001 and a big part of it was due to Jesse and the legislature blowing the surplus, year after year, which resulted in significantly higher base line budgeting figures for here to eternity. He then did the same thing at the local level by supporting the buy-down, of local property taxes which permitted the localities to convince all of the typical uninformed butt-bonnets to approve a ton of local bonding bills that put the local taxes right up where they were before the state "buy-down".

He's a tax and spend liberal that got elected because he was going to put the brakes on govt waste, and that is one of the many reasons that so many people are unsatisfied.

-On top of that, he is the BIGGEST DAMN CRYBABY you will ever see hold office.

All in all, he was a major disappointment.

2002-10-22 12:47:43 AM
Would've been a lot more entertaining if ol' Jesse had gotten himself a sex change operation in order to be the first she male governor in the history of the US.

2002-10-22 01:32:34 AM
Though I wished he would've payed more attention to rural Minnesota, I thought he was a good governor. There was damage done and good done, but it's rare to see a politician that keeps the bullshiat to a minimum. As for the war with the media, we wouldn't have to hear about it if the media didn't keep reporting on it right? We've all been through his various battles and I think they've been pretty amusing. I didn't really see him as a crybaby, just somebody who didn't care what people thought of what he had to say.

2002-10-22 01:34:55 AM
The only reason why I have any respect at all for Ventura is because of the time he referred to Christian Fundamentalists as brainwashed sheep with no minds of thier own.

Seems pretty accurate to me.

2002-10-22 08:20:48 AM
That no talent ass clown is an idiot. And the people running for his position are no better, either.

2002-10-22 01:05:59 PM
All Politicians Suck!!! bottom line..... They are all corupt, greedy, powerhungry, greedy, evil, greedy, selfish, greedy and can not be trusted, Not to mention they are very greedy...

2002-10-22 03:06:46 PM
well, I got at least one reasonable answer, from ChadManMN.

The rest of you: feh! does everyones IQ drop to 20 when they talk about politics ?

"All Politicians Suck!!" "no talent ass clown is an idiot"

"The first smart idea Ventura's come up with since he was elected!"

all smoke, no fire.

you get the government you deserve.

elect your next loser then and be done with it.
