I feel bad for them. Undernourished, coked up, sometimes ridiculously looking dressed and they can ruin the only thing that will ever give them money by tripping.

It's the life they chose, I guess.

/There's always the porn indutry, though.

I thought this was going to be about hanging catwalk accidents that came crashing down on people or people falling with them etc. :/

Ugh...being that thin isn't attractive, nor is it healthy. You can bet that 99.9% of these models have some form of eating disorder & it wouldn't surprise me to hear that they most of them use drugs too. Rachel Welch, Sophia Loren, Marilyn Monroe, Dita Von Teese...they emphasize what a women should look like. With curves, not a bag of antlers.

I was surprised at how good-natured most of them were after they busted ass. I expected them to throw a fit and impale someone with their stiletto.

Sometimes they have to walk in a line 5 to 6 times a day!

Madness.

I like the way most of them smile and laugh...

I blame the godawful shoes!

After a fall like that, they should just OWN IT.

Jump up, throw their arms in the air in a big victory salute, and yell TA DA!

They'd be the hit of the show, and the clip would be shown on practically a continuous loop on the E network.

What about that teenager who punches out another model on the catwalk, faints, and later turns out to be a dude?

That video (like all fashion television segments) is worthless without tit-flashes.

justoneznot: they missed the best one (new window).

I prefer my video with framerate higher than 1.
That was like a flipbook.

Heck, I can think of worse runway disasters from "America's Next Top Model." Like the floating runway where nearly everyone slipped and fell in the water. Or the dress tripping a Chinese acrobat and causing him to fall from his stilts. Or, my favorite, the fashion show in front of high schoolers where one model's dress revealed her breast and she figured she'd just keep walking without fixing it.

/What? I don't pretend to be a television elitist.
//If you're even checking out this thread in the first place, you've probably seen an episode of ANTM, admit it.

Oh wow, that Jay dude's a real person? My sister's all about America's Top Model and I thought he was a joke, or CGI.

When any element of a society attributes any value to an individual's ability to "walk fashionably", said society is doomed.
